My experience with Shelby & So...

My experience with Shelby & Sons was not a positive one. I purchased a used motor from them with a 30 day return policy. Unfortunately the problems this engine had did not fully become clear until after the 30 days had expired. We took the car to a dealership within the 30 days of the engine being put in the car and several times afterwards so all work was documented. When it became clear the problem with the engine was beyond fixing I called Shelby & Sons and explained the timeline of events. The person I spoke with was not pleasant nor did he seem to want to help me with my dilemma. I was not asking them to replace the engine but was hoping once I was able to back my claim up with written proof from a certified dealer that this engine had a major defects prior to being scrapped they would help me locate another engine and give me some credit from the purchase of the first. After several phone calls and being treated rudely I was told twice that they would look for me another engine. I have never heard back from them to this day. Which is fine because I would not purchase anything from them again. I realize they did not know in advance this engine had the problems it did but once they became aware of that I would have thought a reputable business would treat a costumer who just spent upwards of $900 with them better. That was not my experience.
