The cuts are overpriced and COUNTERFEIT. The fillets are mechanically cut disks from a cheaper cut of meat, dressed up with dyes and fillers to make them look gourmet. All of the meat turns grey-brown upon thawing as the dye runs out. The meat SMELLS too, even the "good" stuff will make your house smell like a barnyard when you cook it.

The drivers are pushy, creepy, and rude. They will take advantage of your niceness / politeness and insist on coming in your home. They are unprofessional, and once you've bought from them once will show up at your house at any hour they please, uninvited.

The entire infrastructure of the Iowa Steaks Company is designed so accountability never lands at the feet of the company. Everything is subcontracted out, buildings are rented. Check the better Business Bureau's Reviews on the matter, don't trust the Yellow Page reviews.

After all, doesn't it seem strange that the reviews here all read a little bit like advertisements? Doesn't the five-star rating for this company seem a little incongruent given the company's F- rating from the BBB
