Absolutely amazing place to board or groom your baby. Yes I read the reviews prior to the new owner, but if you believed everything you read and based your decision on someone who doesn't own the place anymore then I'm here to tell you you're missing out! The new owner was nice, professional and very helpful. The facility was clean and the staff were super friendly! I will definitely be going back!

My dogs love coming here for grooming and boarding! When we drive into the parking lot they get so excited! While I'm away I will call and check on them and even if they are busy they will stop what they are doing to check on my dogs. I wouldn't take my babies anywhere else!

My wife were researching for a loving place where we would feel comfortable leaving out 2 dogs for some care and pampering while we went out of town and thought we found it here. NO. We upgraded them to a suite where they could stay together rather than in 'jail'. We brought their own beds, toys and food for comfort. Paid extra for playtime & exercise. Paid this place extra because we brought our own food (still trying to figure THAT out!?) We came back a day early to pick up the dogs and found them in their 'room' with their urine and feces everywhere. Seemingly unattended to for the days they were there. Their beds, toys and bowls still outside their pen, likely never put into their room since they arrived. Our smaller dog, who NEVER has eye & tear staining had black tear marks all over her face as if she was staring at the door for days on end waiting for parole. When I asked about the horrible state of their pen, the woman replied that they were busy and they didn't think we were picking them up to until the next day! I should have known better when researching and they had NO photos of the pen facilities, just cute little pictures of animals and their front lobby which by the way, you can get knocked over by the raw smell of the place the moment you enter the front door. We brought the dogs home and had to hand carry them straight to the showers for bathing. This morning they STILL had the stench of this place on their coats and will be bathed again today. A dog locked in a broom closet for days would get the same 'resort' treatment of this atrocious place. My wife and I will go out of our way to spread the word about this inhumane operation.

We have used Palmetto Pet Resort regularly since we moved to the Columbia area 5 years ago and LOVE IT! The staff is friendly and helpful and always has a spot for us even when we call last minute. Both of our dogs have been comfortable with being dropped off and I know they are well cared for while we are gone. They come back happy and smelling clean! I have never had a bad experience there and I have recommended them to all of my friends which have used them too. I have a dog that now needs to be groomed regularly and I plan to use the groomer there too.

This was the most sketchy ''pet resort'' I had ever taken my dog. first I want to say the lady that checks you in was awesome she knows how to play the roll (customer service) but the other ppl that worked there was not . my dog stayed there for 5 days. I picked this place cause it was the cheapest epically when me and my husband moved here for his new job. and just trying to save a lil money. But we love our dog with all our hearts,so on Friday we wanted to see him, so they let us see him but they act like we was going to run off with him or something she wouldn't let go of his leash . that was the first eye opener. second when I called up there. they said they would let me do a tour . but when I got there that Wednesday, they said the dogs was barking to loud for us to go back there. that was the second eye opener 3RD WHEN I PICKED HIM UP TODAY MONDAY MORNING 7/8/2013 he walks out with red around his eyes like he's been strangled or hit. also he smelt really bad. like he was leaving in is feces. once I got into the car, I notice 2 nasty fleas on my dog. I have a standard poodle they never stick and he never had fleas with me . cause he is a high maintenance dog so I keep him up. so I go to pets smart for them to do a wash but they tell me the resort should cause that's where he got it from. and I was like your right, so I call the resort up and said he didn't have fleas when he came. so they said they will do it for free. so I get there and they told me to come back in 2 hours I did. my damn dog was not even wash its liked they only sprayed or squeezed flea stuff on him he still look and felt gritty and still had the Cole in his eyes when I first picked him up. so I know they did clean him. so please ppl do not go to them .the worst spot for a dog. If you love your animals don't do it.
