CVIM opened its doors and saw its first patients on May 18, 1998 thanks to the initial venture capital and leadership of trustees and the auxiliary of the Paoli Hospital Foundation and other generous benefactors. Ffounded to provide healthcare, hope and healing to the uninsured working adults and their children, CVIM has treated more than 10, 000 patients since opening. More than 45, 000 Chester County residents are working but earning less than 200% of poverty level and have no health insurance or coverage from other government programs. An additional 50, 000 residents are uninsured and earning less than 300% of poverty level. These are the patients who seek help at CVIM where services are provided by volunteer licensed healthcare professionals and a small core staff. Our budget is supported entirely by our generous community individuals, foundations, corporations, churches, civic groups.
