I read the reviews, so went in with my eyes open. Have been very pleasantly surprised by the courteous staff and excellent treatment. By my second visit everyone knew me by name. I receive attentive therapy and good follow-up advice. I'm in twice a week regularly until my back heals and am usually going through therapy with other "regulars." We all (patients and therapists) have fun, laugh, and work to get better. I've had bad experiences with two other doctors who made me feel like a number and know what that feels like. These folks are the opposite; they actually care.

Extremely unprofessional envir...

Extremely unprofessional environment. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Arrived at appt time as new patient, completed paperwork including signed agreement of policy to bill up to $100 if more than 15 min late for appt. Proceeded to wait an hour in the waiting area, listening to office staff order lunch, giggle, make patient phone calls, talk about pharmacy issues, etc. Started having concerns about privacy of my information at this point. After an hour, assistant with very flippant attitude takes me to a room. One finger types information while commenting about "we don't work Fridays so we always have a 3 day weekend" and singing showtunes. Assistant stepped out 2 different times to help other people while I'm still waiting to complete initial summary of reason for visit. Very LOUD, practically non-stop laughter from the staff in this area as well during the entire time. At 1.5 hours, I gather things to leave, Doctor finally shows up in doorway. I explained I was just leaving to go back to work because I'd waited an hour and a half. His response? "Sorry we couldn't help you fast enough" and he walks away. Had there been some level of acknowledgement that the 1.5 hours I waited was unreasonable (i.e. told me up front there was a delay, referenced an emergency, etc.) I may not have been so offended although based on overall experience, would never have made another appointment. Should I have suggested that I bill THEM $100 for my hour and a half wait? My time is just as valuable and the fact that I was there because I was in extreme pain didn't make that time go any faster.

I have been a patient of the B...

I have been a patient of the Back & Spine Center of West Chester/West Chester Pain Management for 5 years originally for neck pain to find out that I have severe neck problems that in my whole life of dealing with neck pain were never addressed. To having back pain so severe I was in a wheelchair and couldnt walk. The providers and staff have been nothing but kind to me and their regimn of therapy, medicaion, acupuncture, and pain procedures have gotten me out of the wheelchair and back to working fulltime. I feel like the staff and providers really care about me as a person and a patient. I dont understand what the other reviews are talking about. This is the most caring office I have ever been a patient of and the treatment that did include many avenues of care WORK and got me to where I can live a full life again. I have a lot of children, work fulltime and hve many responsibilities and when I was incapicated from pain I was unable to live my life and enjoy my children. The office has given me back my joy of life by helping me to get the pain under control. I would recommend this office to anyone suffering from any kind of pain, follow the treatment plan the doctors set forth and do what you are told by the doctors, because it works!!!!

Agree with other two!

Do not go here if you expect excellent service. I was given a follow up appointment rather than an intake appointment with the pain specialist after being seen here by other staff for two weeks. I was then told he was too busy to see me even though I was also told he had a cancellation in addition to the appointment I had scheduled. They checked with the doctor and he said he was "behind" and that he could not see me. I was told I should go to urgent care or the ER even though I was in obvious physical pain. BEWARE! Not patient centered.

We are a multi specialty interventional pain management clinic. Initial visit to this office is with our primary care director for an Initial exam; He collects history, exam findings, gets patient record and orders any testing ( MRI CT scan blood work). This is explained on the initial phone call and on initial visit. Sometimes initial visit with the interventional pain doctor is 2 weeks later than the initial intake exam due to the process of getting previous record testing and medication list. If the Interventional Pain doctor had a cancellation that day it would have been for a follow up visit which takes 15 min spot. The interventional pain management doctor’s initial exam takes 45 to 60 min. Putting you into that appointment time would have pushed all other patients back 45 min from there scheduled appointment. That would NOT be fair to those patients. We have never told a scheduled patient that the doctor is "behind" and that he could not see you. We are a multi-discipline interventional pain procedures office. We are not an urgent care. I am truly sorry if you had a bad experience with our office.

avoid

I agree. think they are called west chester pain center now. very disorganized place and I definitely felt like just a number. see the chiro then the pain doctor then pt, then reschedule and they have no idea who you are and what you are there for. no meds, didnt need them but they definitely wanted me to go through the pt with unfriendly, too busy to talk to you people. seems like they try to scare the crap out of you about your condition, neck for me, and then get as much out of you as they can for it. avoid.

scam

This clinic will mislead to get you in as a pain doctor and then they throw you into a required 3 day a week physical therapy deal to which you cannot get med unless you do it and of course they provide it. They turn things around from one of them to the next and make you feel like a criminal for needing your meds. And they left me without my meds for not jumping through their hoops of pt, don't go there if you want honesty.
