Mom went for rehab after hospitalization for bed sores. She was not turned every 2 hours (among other things). They didn't follow their OWN protocol, and her bedsores grew exponentially worse. She had to be hospitalized for 3 weeks at a wound care hospital to heal what they had allowed to happen.

My mom went there for physical therapy and wound care. In her first week there, her bed sore doubled in length. By the end of the 2nd week, after seeing a wound care specialist, it had doubled in width! Standard of care was NOT followed. They are also short-staffed and aides often don't get to the rooms in time to help those who need more assistance. No one you love should ever go there. And yes, we tried working with staff and directors. Staff members were very nice, but there was no consistency. It's like no one ever checked her chart to see what her care was to be. Very disappointing.
