Sherry Kaye is an outstanding teacher who teaches with positive remarks and thoughts and builds confidence.
She has broadened my range so I can hit low to high notes without hurting my throat. Now I can breathe properly with support from my diaphragm.
She has years of music business experience and her teaching reflects it. I have learned a lot since beginning with her. And I intend to study on to learn to perform with warmth and style. I recommend her to all singing students.

Sherry is a dedicated teacher who has years of experience performing and teaching. She is kind, uplifting and I enjoy my lessons. She has improved my voice so that I have confidence and it is fun to learn with her rather than try to do it on my own. My throat does not hurt when I try to sing high and I am grateful for the opportunity to say "Thank you, Sherry, for all you have done for me." I really like her warm-up exercise that I do once a day.

The latest installment on my comment page is straight from my super talented vocal coach!

When I injured my vocal cord with a "blister" a few years back, Sherry Kaye was my savior!

She helped me re-learn how to sing correctly.



I began to get lazy when I sang, (not using my diaphragm) and that had me straining to reach the notes which were easily reachable just months before.



So I continued to strain and force the notes, which in turn got me a big nodule on my vocal cord...no pain, just not my usual voice. So I was not to sing, yell talk loudly or whisper, doctor's orders, for 1 month.

It was torture!!!

Singing to me is like a drug. It makes me happy. It relaxes me. It sometimes challenges me with new material, which is always fun. So when Dr. Rochen, E.N.T. (A GOD) restricted me it was a long month. At the 30 day mark, I was "scoped" again and was given the go ahead to once again sing.



I got in touch with Sherry and set up our 1st lesson. It was great...

Sherry has worked on Broadway, had her own variety tv show and now helps people like me! How lucky I was to find her! I utilize her direction everyday of my life...and I'm telling anyone who needs or wants singing lessons.....Sherry Kaye is the best! My daughter is a budding church soloist. She truly enjoys singing! Due to her young age I had trouble finding a voice instructor for her. I am thrilled to say I was referred to Sherry Kaye and my prayers were answered. She agreed to listen to my child sing, and to my extreme delight, she took her on as a student. The improvement in my daughter's singing has been incredible! Sherry patiently teaches my daughter the correct way to breathe, not to sing too loudly, various performance techniques, and much, much more! I would highly recommend Sherry Kaye to anyone who needs vocal training. Not only is she a great instructor, she is also compassionate and kind. Although my daughter is young, Sherry treats her with respect and encourages my child to give her best.

My daughter has been taking lessons from Sherry Kaye for about 3 years and in those 3 years I have watched her grow from a timid singer, to a confident, talented, amazing, performer. My daughter always had the ability to sing, but Sherry took her talent and nurtured it and has made her into the wonderful performer she is today. She sings in front of 800+ people in her school and has the confidence that she needs to truly show her talents and this I attribute to Sherry's kind teaching technique. She guides the student to be the best that they can be with positive reinforcement and praises when deserved, but not with harsh words when not. We are truly lucky to have found her in the yellow pages 3 years ago. She has changed my daughter for the better, in so many ways.

My daughters have been talking about having voice lessons for a long time, and my oldest daughter found Sherry Kaye on the internet and wanted to start lessons. I agreed, and from the first lesson, my girls have learned a tremendous amount. She teaches voice with very effective techniques which have my kids practicing daily and really doing well. She also talks about developing gifts and talents with the girls and I have watched their self esteems rise. She is timely, fair, and kind and has a tremendous store of knowledge from experience that make her singing lessons definitely worthwhile. I am a physician and busy mother, (Internal Medicine and Pediatrics) and she has also been able to work with me on lesson times to fit in with my schedule. Sherry Kaye is a wonderful teacher.

Sherry is very good at what she does. I have taken a coulple of lessons with her and already noticed so much improvement. I have learned proper breathing, which is so important because I've been singing for years in church and have never been able to breathe properly, therefore hurting my throat. I have also learned proper prononciation of all the vowels. It was so amazing to learn it all in the first lesson and now I'm just building on what I know. I would highly recommend her as a vocal teacher.

I am a professional singer who has been singing for the past ten years. I desperately needed a vocal coach before heading into the studio to record and found Sherry Kaye through the internet. Having been to many sketchy vocal coaches in the past, I was skeptical about finding a new vocalist. However, I was extremely impressed. Sherry turned out to be the best vocal coach I have ever worked with. Her experience in the music industry is evident through her method and the skill she uses in teaching her students. In addition, her technique and encouragement has contributed tremendously to my development as an artist. Although I no longer live in Michigan, I have continued lessons with Sherry over the phone and trust her for advice on my vocal career wherever it is needed. I find she always bends over backwards to help her students, and I feel blessed to have met her. As a professional, and a student who just finds happiness from singing, I highly recommend Sherry.
