We hired Reality to do a complete kitchen remodel. Project started out okay and then turned accusatory toward us – “Not everyone is as picky as you”, “you will never be satisfied”. If picky is wanting things done right, then yes we are. We were disrespected, called names and yelled at by Mike, the owner. He gets mad at the wrong people, directing anger at the customer. When you have legitimate concerns and questions you should be able to have these handled in a professional manner – they weren’t. By the end of the project we were told never to call him again as he does not want to talk to us. That sums up this company’s character and ethics. If you are expecting a high quality job we do not recommend this company.

Kitchen remodeled. Had good suggestions for our project. Easy to work with on layout. Responsive to our questions. Kept to the price of the work quoted. Happy with the results.

Reality Construction LLC remodeled my bathroom. I could not be happier with the results. I was nervous about making my selections and they walked me through the process. Once work started they took care of everything and did not leave until I was satisfied. I would highly recommend Mike & Gina.

Just finished my kitchen remodel! Loved the way it worked. Process was painless. They came out to the house, listened to what we said, and offered a couple suggestions. They emailed a proposal. After that we worked with Gina on the layout. We picked everything out before we signed. Mike updated us on what to expect as work progressed. The outcome is a beautiful kitchen that functions so well! It was even finished a week ahead of schedule :)

I agree with the below. Bartelt is argumentative and uncooperative. He is only a subcontractor and anything he did touch in my house was sloppy and unsatisfactory. Two years later I can say overall quality/durability of my kitchen is C+ at best.

Mike Bartelt should not be allowed to build a doghouse. Everything looks find at first but, about the time the limited warranty of 1 year is up you begin to see what happens. I bought a home from Reality Construction in 2005. Within a year a found the toilet parts did not match so they leaked which created a lot of water damage in the basement as well as the ceilings in thee house and ruined a wood floor in the powder room, the whirlpool motor failed, the wood floor in the kitchen hallway is warped, and the siding is falling off the house. This is not someone you want to work with.
