I can only conclude that the previous reviewer had not done much research into this kind of material and/or didn't ask questions up front. I did and was therefore able to have appropriate discussions with John Ring and his staff and everybody bent over backwards to accommodate my needs especially when it came to dealing with a streak in the granite I didn't want featured. I am very detailed and picky but their installation crew of Ken, Dwayne and Julio were excellent in their attention to detail and craftsmanship. I had also met with and obtained a quote from Solid Service Specialists and found Vandelay to be superior in all aspects.

I was not impressed with this company. The quality of work was fine but I bought matching marble countertops from one slab that we picked out. When I saw the countertops after installation I noticed immediately they did not match, they were completely different slabs of marble. I had the installation guys call the owner and the owner said they couldn't get both tops out of the slab we picked. I wish they would have told me this beforehand. He acted like he didn't care and didn't offer to make it right in any way. I should have told them to take them back out and refund my money but I didn't...the people at Solid surface specialists were much nicer and equivalent priced, we went with Vandalay because my wife loved that slab of marble we originally picked out. I definitely don't recommend Vandalay and will not do business with them again.
