Michael G. Poisson, President of MGP Incorporated, specializes in the restoration of fine antique timepieces circa 1700 - 1940. Pursuing a family tradition of clock and watch making, Michael G. Poisson is a third generation horologist. He began his clock and watch making apprenticeship at age ten with his grandfather and father. After completing his formal education, he continued his pursuit of clock making and restoration under the tutelage of a renowned master European clock maker. In 1978 Michael G. Poisson opened a clock and watch repair business in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1989, he moved the business to its present location in Wayland, Massachusetts. For over thirty years, Michael G. Poisson has restored clocks and watches for private collectors, historical and preservation societies, and museums. An expert in Early Tall Case Clock restorations, he also restores Banjo clocks, Regulator clocks, Bracket clocks, French and English Carriage clocks. In addition, Mr. Poisson restores vintage wrist watches, and complicated minute repeating pocket watches. With a fully equipped state of the art workshop, Michael G. Poisson, a uniquely skilled artisan is able to make clock parts by hand, cutting gears and manufacturing parts of any size for antique clocks and watches enabling him to restore each timepiece to its full operation and original splendor.
