Saputo Dairy is a manufacturer of American- and Italian-style cheeses. The company caters to the food service and industrial markets under a variety of brand names and private labels. It is owned by dairy farm families that supply milk to its two facilities in Waupun and Black Creek, Wis. Saputo Dairy produces a complete line of cheese and dairy-related products. It produces more than 500,000 pounds of cheese daily. The company operates a laboratory that performs a quality analysis test by checking milk for butterfat, protein, lactose, other solids, somatic cell count and bacteria. Saputo Dairy has been operational for more than 110 years.
