Founded in 1962, H. R. McCall Elementary School offers various academic and extracurricular activities to students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It provides student programs related to speech, orchestra, art, music and physical education. The school also offers classes in language arts, writing, math and science. H. R. McCall Elementary School enrolls more than 400 students annually. In addition, the school supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the use of illegal drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior. H. R. McCall Elementary School is located in Waukegan, Ill. The school is a part of Waukegan Public School District 60, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
