I contacted Gina at Design a Maid in August to pre-purchase $200 worth of cleaning services for my mother who was having back surgery and couldn't clean her own home. I told them that my mom would be contacting them in early October to set up a cleaning date. My mom contacted them and set up a date. The date neared and Gina called with the need to reschedule which my mother did for the following week. The following week my mom was again contacted with the need to reschedule. I, then got involved,and called Gina demanding that someone show up the next day or to refund my money. I reiterated that my mom had had serious back surgery and could not do the cleaning which was why I had contracted with Design A Maid. Gina was apologetic and had someone out the next day. My mom had them come a couple of additional times and the cleaning was ok. Today, they were to come for a final time to do a thorough cleaning after all the holiday decorations were down. This date was set as Gina and her daughter left my mom's house in November. This morning came and no one showed up. When my mom called, they tried to blame her and say that she hadn't called and confirmed. Gina seems to have a very hard time keeping staff as she had to send different people to my mom's house and had to go and do the cleaning herself this last time. Needless to say, my mother was furious. I am to receive a refund of the remaining amount from monies I paid last August. We'll see if I actually get any. I can not recommend this company at all. They are irresponsible and blame others for their own incompetence.

My company was looking for a better cleaning service. They all start out good to impress. We have had Design A Maid for many years and find them to be consistant, reliable and possibly the best janitorial service ou there. I shopped for a maid service thinking I would get the kind of clean you expect to get in housecleaning. This is exactly what we got. I can't tell youenough how happy our company is with them.
