Getenesh "Mimi" Asfaw was extremely incompetent and unprofessional. For a whole 2 months she lead me to believe that she had this "great job opportunity" for me. I've worked with temporary placement agencies in the past and never experienced the level of deceit that I did with this company. I would rather an agency just honestly say: "We do not have anything right now but we will keep your resume on file". Instead, I was constantly asked to fill out paperwork, complete health screening, and take a drug test as a way to make me believe that I would get employed.
An Employment Attorney friend of mines shared that a good number of agencies will have people complete their application only to get your personal information and social security number so that the company can receive tax credit. Note how many temporary agencies will set up the initial conversation and interview like they have boat loads of jobs. Once you complete the paper work process most will hit you with the "We do not have any positions at the moment but will keep you posted".
This may not apply to all agencies but lots probably have a shady business going on. Individuals must use the same caution with trying to find a job the same way you would use caution with giving credit card information over the telephone. There are some fraudulent businesses out there!
