Kirti Johal, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, Division of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Johal earned her B.S. in Neuroscience from Duke University and her M.D. from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center, where she won numerous teaching accolades, including the Gerald Grumet teaching award. She completed her fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Johns Hopkins University Asthma and Allergy Center. Dr. Johal is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology. Dr. Johal treats patients with a wide variety of allergic, asthmatic, and immunologic conditions. Her clinical interests include hives, atopic dermatitis, environmental allergies, food allergy, anaphylaxis, drug allergy, asthma and immunodeficiency. She has conducted research on allergic and immunologic skin disorders, including chronic spontaneous urticaria.
