American Forest & Paper Association, established in 1993, is the national trade association of the forest, pulp, paper, paperboard and wood products manufacturers in the United States. It represents member companies engaged in growing, harvesting and processing wood and wood fiber; and producing engineered and traditional wood products. The association provides advocacy services and undertakes legislative representation at federal and state levels. It also provides suggestions and reference assistance to develop paper industry and undertakes research activities and offers statistical information. It also undertakes density studies; wetlands mitigation planning and design; forests and tree conservation plans; and habitat management. American Forest & Paper Association is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
