Montessori at it's finest

As a parent of children who have attended other Montessori schools, I can tell you that Each member of the staff has taken great care in developing and delivering authentic Montessori experiences every day. The children are not only taught advanced concepts at every grade level, they are also include sprititual development, home economics in Spanish Emersion, care of your natural environment and the freedom to research topics of interest to highlight a few items. Having witnessed the planning that everyone does to prepare for each new day I can not say enough to compliment the staff and school. The friday field trips are carefully planned to highlight many aspects of the child's learning experiences and to increase the level of personal involvement in thier world. Please remember that the building, a home of thier education and is cleaned and cared for by the staff and students alike which helps the children learn how to care for thier surroundings and take responsibility for themsel

VERY PLEASED PARENT

I'm shocked by any negative reviews of CMA, particularly on a visual or aesthetic basis. When a parent is visiting any facility during summer months, he/she should be aware that a busy environment is a productive environment and regular school activities do not occur. Many educators prepare their environment for the upcoming school year during summer months. As a parent of a child that is very pleased with this school, I will tell you that negative reviews regarding the cleanliness or clutter of this facility are unfounded, unwarranted and lack credibility. These statements are offensive. Visiting any facility during off-hours/season doesn't properly prepare any parent for the regular experience throughout the school year. Our child has been in this school for two years and transferred from another Montessori school that was remarkably pleasant and even sterile in appearance...and a complete failure as a Montessori school, providing none of the authentic experience that CMA e

Carmel Montessori not what it claims to be

First impressions: dirty! and cluttered. Teachers were cordial but seemed overworked. Back yard was a mess with overgrown bushes and trees and old discarded lumber and other debris. The horse and other farm animals were in need of care - overgrown hooves and coats that needed brushing. Didn't get to talk to anyone in charge because they were "off-campus". Offered a hand book that made no sense - many paragraphs of writing but no real information about the school. Disappointing!
