Buyer beware! Verify the serial # on power tools. I purchased a chainsaw in 2017 and they sold me a 2015 model for the 2017 price. I specifically asked to verify the year of the saw that I bought at the time of the purchase. The numbers on the box were scratched off. The sales person would not tell me the specific serial number. He asked another individual there who said they got the saw in March. I was buying in November.
Supposedly the saw was registered at the time of the purchase because I was asked for my drivers license and I was informed that they were saving me the time of registering the saw myself. Later I discovered the saw was not registered. As I was going through the registration process I saw, on the sales receipt the serial number. The sales person knew that it was there but did not inform me at the time. I learned then, that I purchased a saw that was 2 years old.
Later, when I called to express my concern and disappointment, I was told by Rich, in so many words, "tough luck" and goodbye.
I don't write reviews although I like to read them. However, I am taking the time, as I informed Rich, to write this review. This is a devious act by a business to not tell the whole truth. Rich was completely indifferent to to my request to offer me compensation on any level. He was callus, defensive, unwilling to take any level of ownership and dismissed the situation as nothing important. Buyer beware!
