Food is OK. In regards to service, we ate at diner based on a 10% discount for veterans as part of the Bucks County Veterans card program-listed as "10 % off lunch/dinner-Monday-Thursday". When we went to pay check, the cashier seemed put off and wanted to know which meal was mine. She claimed only the vet gets 10% off his own meal and not the check for my family. I say go to Guiseppe's-they give 10% off for the entire check or Roman Delight-they give 20% off entire check. Poor execution of an excellent program for veterans. You can do better Eagle Diner! http://www.buckscounty.org/government/CommunityServices/MilitaryAffairs/DiscountCards

Farmers breakfast for dinner included ONE scrambled egg that looked lost on the plate, two grease filled sausage, 3 small tasteless pancakes. I SHOULD HAVE SENT IT BACK. Husband had dried turkey, unedible overly seasoned stuffing, strange looking carrots his dinner included the salad bar, mine did not. My husband gave me one half piece of bread that I placed on my napkin not on an extra plate and when the waitress brought the watered down coffee she said sarcastically ARE YOU GETTING THE SALAD BAR? I said no he just shared a half piece of bread with me. SHE SAID WE HAVE A STRICT POLICY HERE NO SHARING. I only took one bite of the bread and put the rest on my husbands side of the table. I SHOULD HAVE GIVEN IT BACK TO HER. I ate the one lonely scrambled egg, I choked down one of the dry tasteless pancakes and greasy sausage and left the rest to be thrown away. Our waitress said the management watches them like cops. When tried to speak with the on duty manager Zisi and he defended his waitress about their policy. I broke the golden rule and had one half a piece of bread. I told him we would not be back he said so don't come back. Zisi is fat, I guess he is eating the profits and none left for the paying customer. There is so much competition out there and so many better places to eat. Do your homework before you spend your money. THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE, THE STAFF IS BULLIED, why would they want to work in this environment under the stress of pressured management. There are so many better places to work where they will be treated respectfully. They also display a banner claiming 2011 title of being the best diner in Buckscounty. Sorry Buckscounty if that is your best you better shop around for another one in 2012. Go online and google real customer reviews. The Eagle Diner in New Hope is dying this one will eventually catch on when customers wake up, cheap food is not good food. GOODBYE EAGLE

Go for the early-bird special! great value for the money!

I used to live in New Hope and miss this diner greatly! The staff is always polite and friendly. I used to go there with my partner on occasions for the early bird special. between 4-8 you get a soup AND salad, your entree, your drink, and desert all for 10 bucks. The food was always pretty tasty. If you havn't tried it, give it a try!
