When I bought my Condo I knew that I wanted to do it completely over with hard wood floors and get rid of the carpeting. Taozen Flooring was the company that I chose.

They came out did all the measurements and ordered all that was needed for this large job. They also picked up the materials for me.

They had @ 1200 square feet of flooring to install as well as the 1/4 round trimming. They did an excellent job in 4 days. They were very professional and courteous. I was very pleased at how well they cleaned up after themselves so that I wasn't stuck doing all that clean up afterwards. This is a 5 star company which does high quality work in a timely manner. I highly recommend them.

I wouldnt have any bad or good for their quality of work---They were suppose to come to my house at 4 0'clock and it is now 6:30 and they never showed---not even called---so what would you think about their work?

In short - high quality work, detail oriented, very timely, always available on the phone, constantly offering ways to save money, and a very professional and personable team that aims to exceed expectations.



The details: We bought a condo with ugly red carpeting, so the first thing we did was shop around for hard wood and flooring contractors. We met with several and Taozen was priced in the middle. Why did we pick them? Tao, the owner came by and took measurements the day we spoke. His attention to detail, when it came to assessing the job was immaculate. He provided a quote the same evening and an exact estimate of the material needed. Nothing was wasted at the end.



They committed to starting work in two days and completed the job within 3; one day sooner than they had planned for. He also offered to pick up the material that I had ordered saving me a few hundred dollars in delivery expenses. I gave him keys to my condo and came back 4 days later to see it all done and perfectly clean.



The job wasn't simple. The concrete sub floor ended up being uneven which he fixed. His team also had to work around the schedule of the painter. I casually mentioned to his team that we were tiling the kitchen and bathrooms next, so he had his team tape down protective covering once the wooden floors were down.



I called Tao a couple weeks after, when we finished the rest of the remodeling work to inquire whether he could send someone to install bi-fold doors for all our closets. He sent someone the next day and they didn't accept payment either.



To put it plainly. If you want a job well done at a very reasonable price with absolutely no worries, pick Taozen.

We hired Tao to replace 10 year old berber carpeting in our study and large family room to match our existing wood flooring. From start to finish the process was very efficient and professional.



Tao's edge is that he uses technology efficiently. We had four in-house estimates and Tao was the only one who gave us an estimate that day. He went out to his truck with our measurements, worked the numbers, and came back with a detailed printout.



By contrast we had to make the effort to get the price from people who had come out to measure. In fact, we received a quote in the mail for twice as much money one week after Tao's crew had already completed the job! We feel comfortable paying a little more for a product/service if there is a noticeable increase in quality, etc. but in this case it wasn't necessary as Tao's pricing was very competitive.



A couple of other points. It turned out that we had more wood than was needed for the job. Tao took back two bundles and we received a credit of the price of the job. You can imagine that with some other installers that wouldn't have happened. Also, Tao's crew hauled away the carpeting and pad they removed so we didn't have to pay our town an extra fee to haul it away with the special bulk waste pickup.



The lesson is that you shouldn't go to a carpet store that also sells wood floors, you should go to an installation expert in wood flooring who focuses on detail and understands what you're trying to accomplish. We're very pleased with the finished product and will use Tao again for refinishing and installing flooring in additional rooms in our home.

We hired Tao and his team to install wood flooring in all levels of our house as well as tiles for our shower and bathrooms floors in our Winchester home. They did a tremendous job. They were able to finish the job quickly which allowed us to move in sooner than if we had waited for our general contractor. Tao professionalism is high standard. He corrected our previous contractor's mistake of putting baseboard before hardwood floor that which saved us from losing the warranty on our Bellawood we bought from Lumber Liquidator. We highly recommend Taozen for any floorings installation or sanding. Thank you.
