Fifty years ago, I had surgery done to both my ears. I thought I was set for life and very happy not to wear a hearing aid.

As the years past I found that my hearing had diminished over time. As I was concerned, I decided a hearing test would put me at ease. As luck would have it, there was an interesting article in the Rossmoor News about Dr. Mimi, mentioning her excellent credentials.During my first visit, Dr. Mimi showed me the chart of my hearing test which showed severe loss in one ear and below average in the other.

She fitted me with a hearing aid that day and the beautiful sound of music that came through her stereo brought tears to my eyes. I did not want to leave the office without my new gift of hearing... I was overjoyed when Dr. Mimi let me wear it home. Thanks to Dr. Mimi I am now enjoying a new lease on life.

I took my mom to a hearing aid specialist thinking that was what she needed since she had a hearing problem and she required hearing aids. She had so many problems with her hearing aids that I had to take her in for adjustments about every other week, sometimes every week. I didn’t realize until Dr. Mimi bought the clinic that a hearing aid specialist is only required to have a high school diploma and pass a basic test. That explains why Mom had so many problems with her hearing aids. In contrast, an audiologist is required to have a master’s degree. In addition to a master’s degree, Dr. Mimi also has a PhD in audiology. When my mom first saw her, we immediately noticed how much more thorough she was in her hearing evaluation. We were so grateful that she took the time to educate us, not only on Mom’s hearing problem, but also on how, as a family, we can make communication easier for all of us. I also noticed her compassion and her genuine care for her patients. When my mom was hospitalized, Dr. Mimi even offered to go to the hospital and take care of any of her hearing needs. I will recommend Dr. Mimi to anyone who asks.

I have rarely met anyone with the combination of compassion and knowledge that Dr. Mimi exhibits every time I visit her office. As an audiologist who has significant experience, she diagnosed and solved my problem with a hearing aid that I had never heard of, despite my extensive research and visits to other "hearing center" offices. The device has worked as advertised; the follow-up visits are productive and informative. Dr. Mimi has made time in her schedule to accommodate my long working hours and has consistently met my needs completely. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone with any hearing issues.
