I trust my furry son to this home away from home. He leaps from the car to go in and acts like a kid from a trip with excitement when we pick him up.

I have been using Lakeside for YEARS and let me start off by saying I have two special needs dogs. One needs to be kept on a VERY strict diet and be on different medications and the other requires insulin and isn't to keen on getting a needle. I was leery leaving my pets with ANYONE let alone a kennel. From the moment I dropped off I felt comfortable. The asked me a bunch of questions about my dogs and one is finicky around the head area and the gentleman taking her back was very patient with her which I appreciated greatly. Once they were back there we discussed vets, phone numbers and I was going out of the country for two weeks so I left numbers they would be able to contact. I even had a few quirky requests which they were more than accommodating to.

During my trip I was able to keep in contact through facebook where I was sent pictures and videos and was given a thourough report card on how they were doing. I was expecting to be told they were doing "good" and they were "happy" but I got so much more. They told me some of the quirks my dogs do which showed they really KNEW my dogs.

Upon returning I was more than pleased. The bill was more than reasonable and they were sure to return all of our belongings and extra medications and extra food. I was greeted by two VERY happy dogs. I was concerned after two weeks they would have either gained or lost a significant amount of weight but they were exactly as I had dropped them off. Both dogs seemed extremely comfortable and I will NEVER board anywhere else.

My husband and I used them once to shelter our lab. When we arrived at the stroke of closing after fighting shore traffic all day, they would not give us our dog. Since they were closed the following day, we had to wait two days to pick her up.



I was so mad. The workers were all there and could have easily processed the paperwork, but because the clock was 1 minute past noon, they wouldn't help us.



If they don't care about customers, then what are their feelings towards the pets they house?



Never took our pets there again.

I used Lakeside once for my cat when we went out of town for over a week. I was nervous at first leaving my cat with strangers but my cat was so well taken care of that I would not hesitate using this kennel again for babysitting our cat. My Cat seemed very relaxed when we picked him up.
