Great hangout. We often stop in here after work to have a couple of drinks..some food. They have an inside bar area and an outside patio area (nice on nice summer evenings). Just a great place to hang out after a long hard day at work!

Nice atmosphere and food and service. Great place.

ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE SERVICE.

I've come here on numerous occasions because I have alot of friends in the area and it's close to them. it never fails, EVERY SINGLE TIME we come here the waitresses are beyond rude. I can't believe half of them still work there.

First of all, just because I am in a group of people and we are drinking, it doesn't mean we don't want food. Don't assume we don't care that you dissapear for 45 minutes at a time either. And when we ask you for a refill on a drink, we don't mean we want it 30 minutes from now, we want it in a bit of a more timely matter than that...



Not only that, the extreme b*tchiness the waitresses gave to everyone at the table, (not just myself) over THEM NOT RETURNING TO OUR TABLE FOR 45 minutes was unreal. After asking about a drink and then being told "Well I was busy.." that's not the way to treat someone who is paying you honey. Oh and continuing to ignore us wont help you out either.



I've actually been a waitress in a few different restraunts..... and If i acted the way I was treated at this AJ Gators not only would I have been broke from no tips, my manager would CHEW my a$$ for treating customers like that then i'd get fired!

Third third time I've been to the Fairfield Shopping Center location in Virginia Beach. First 2 visits were just OK, so we figured we'd give it one more try since it's so close to home. The screaming kids are really beyond the control of AJ Gators but that alone made for an unpleasant experience.

Our waitress was perky and pretended to be friendly but wasn't good at all. She was late with our orders and failed to bring another round of beer as we ordered. Two of the four drafts we ordered tasted like soap water. When we told her about it she had a deer in the headlights look like we were speaking Chinese and didn't say anything. She didn't apologize or offer to replace them Eventually after looking at her blank expression for a while we ordered something else. She charged us for the soapwater anyway (we took it off her tip so didn't really matter to us in the end). STAY away. Go somewhere - anywhere else.
