Do not mess with this weak middleman. Only through the court I was able to get a full refund (over four thousand dollars) after their terrible job.

Haskell Monument update: Brian distributed a letter dated July 17, 2010 from Haskell
Monument Works, stating that a letter from Town Attorney Sheila Chalifoux, dated June
9, 2010 was not received by Mr. DelConte until July 16, 2010. This does not allow Mr.
DelConte enough time to review and respond. He states that all Haskell Monument
Works concerns will be addressed in future correspondence.
Finger Lakes Monument has submitted an estimate to retrieve the 4 new stones
from Haskell Monuments Works and to install the four new headstones.
The Committee is in agreement that retrieval of all property belonging to the
Town of Victor needs to take place ASAP.

Provided by YP.comHi folks!
This is Karen Haskell Kelliher, President of Haskell Monument Works. I wish to let everyone know about our view regarding our customer, Igor, who is listed below. We told Igor (as we tell all of our customers) how long it takes to have the stone installed in the cemetery (usually ten to twelve weeks). Igor cancelled his order approximately fifteen weeks after our signed agreement. He insisted that our agreement was twelve weeks (which it was not). Please understand that our customers may initiate as many design changes as they please. Igor made numerous design changes, but unfortunately did not realize that this would delay the process. None of the drawings that were presented to Igor had any errors, as he referred to. This had only to do with font style preferences. We are dedicated to accommodating our customers in creating a memorial to their satisfaction.
Igor took our case to the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's Office since he was displeased with the refund amount when he cancelled his order. We withheld money for the foundation, administration, and drafting charges which was determined to be fair by the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's Office.

Provided by YP.comOur experience with this business was very depressing. We ordered them a monument for our deceased daughter. According to our agreement, the job had to be completed in 8-12 weeks. Unfortunately in 15 weeks we didn't get even the approval drawings as originally specified, not to mention the monument. Our design was fairly simple. However from the beginning, their poor quality drawings contained multiple errors/inaccuracies. The drawings didn't even keep the right proportions of the monument. We always contacted the business immediately to indicate the defects. But every smallest fix took a few weeks, still being not quite successful, or our corrections were ignored. Their latest prints, three months after signing the contract, still contained a number of drawbacks, including the most annoying persisting English spelling errors. The following letters were wrong: the digit "1" instead of the letter "i" and the letter "c" instead of the letter "e". Some other letters had weird proportions and sizes. It's amazing that they can produce such obvious errors and then impudently send it to customers.
This is a small family business presented by president and vice president. They work as a subcontractor. Unfortunately for us, they confessed that fact only when it became way too obvious. (btw it also explains why they require to pay the entire balance before the job is even scheduled.) So, their vice-president Dennis Del Konte in his responses provided a number of weird excuses: "remote supplier", "the supplier just hired a new inexperienced employee", "they don't have computerized fonts and draw the characters by hand", "the supplier was on vacation", even his "strained relationships with the supplier". I doubt that such excuses can be taken as appropriate ones. We paid for the product, not for learning the reasons why the business cannot have it done.
When in over three months we had neither the monument nor even its drawings on the paper we could approve, we informed them that we could not be that tolerant to their agonizing efforts any longer and unless they provide the prints, as originally specified, in one more week, we would cancel our order and request a full refund. The same day Karen Kelliher, president, called back assuring that they would produce the quality prints by the middle of next week. In a couple of days she called again and repeated the same idea. That looked like a good sign after all. However again nothing was done, and they didn't call anymore.
So, we had nothing better than contacting them once again: this time just to cancel the order. Also we requested for a refund, which was impudently denied by them. To get our money back we had to involve Attorney General's Office.
After that, practically for the same price, we got the monument from a different company. The contrast was huge and healing. We signed our contract on Monday and already on Friday we received the approval drawings which were flawless: colored; made with computerized fonts; showing everything on the granite (as if the monument was already done); perfectly scaled; matching our design 100%. In addition they kindly sent us a few optional prints which were slightly different in styles. This way they even provided extra choices for us that we could select which one we liked the best. It took this company just a few days to have done what the Haskell couldn't have handled even for 15 weeks. And I believe this is (not the Haskell) a true quality standard in this industry. We got the monument in 6 weeks. Not a single time did they delay with anything against their word. We weren't asked to pay the balance until the memorial was installed at the cemetery. Also I'd like to mention that the price would be the same with a more sophisticated design and inscription, whereas Haskell counts and charges for every letter.

Provided by YP.comit was painful... not satisfactory quality and performance... you have to run after them and ask to fix that and that, like they themselves cannot see...huge delays with everything too...
be advised they are just a reseller who is masking that fact - it explains a lot... also check their bbb record, which is not good... i didn't and it was a mistake...
p.s. to be accurate, their bad rating by bbb may expire on 9/5/11... it's reported to the public for 3 years only...
