We hired them to do lawn care for us and have had a horrible experience. At first, they were coming every 6 days even though we hired them to be out here every 14 days. Once that was sorted out, it was OK for about a month. Then they started to get sloppy again: blowing the grass clippings into my mulched beds and into our pool, knocking over the chicken wire fencing I had around some small trees... Then one of their employees went into one of my mulched landscape beds and mowed down one of the shrubs I had planted there earlier in the year. What they were doing with a mower in a mulched bed is beyond me. They came to replace the shrub for me a couple weeks later after I asked them to do it two or three times. This past weekend, the crew came to mow and only did 1/3 of our property. They did nothing in our backyard or sideyards, just the front yard. I've left 2 messages about when they will be back to finish the job and they haven't returned my calls. They have very poor communication and organizational skills.

Rude Employees

On December 9, 2009, I had just finishing shoveling the snow out of my driveway and was standing near the garage door. A Maple Leaf truck with a snow plow on the front drove down my street and pulled in my driveway to turn around. When the truck pulled in the plow on the front hit the snowbank along one side of my driveway and knocked a big pile of snow back into my driveway. After the truck backed out, it stopped at the end of the driveway. There were 3 men inside the truck and I waved to them and pointed at the snow pile in my driveway. I thought they were going to jump out and clean up the snow since they had seen me. However, the driver kind of shook his head and then drove off. I was a bit ticked off about this so I went inside and called Maple Leaf landscape. I told the dispatcher about the incident and she agreed that it was inappropriate and would attempt to contact the truck and have them clean up the snow. I waited for about 30 minutes and no one showed up, so I went out and shoveled it out myself. I called Maple Leaf back again and told them I didn't need them to come back. I spoke with a different dispatcher this time and she was not as sympathetic or pleasant as the first one. She asked if I was a customer of theirs and I told her no and there is no chance I will be one in the future. She did tersely apologize, but it didn't sound very sincere. I guess good customer service isn't important to their company.
