Having enjoyed the Alvarado Sonic Drive In, late one evening - a little before 9pm, I made my first stop here in Venus. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, chocolate malt, and salt free french fries.

The service was pretty quick - the french fries hot and no salt (yea!)....but...that is where the good stuff ends....

The sandwich was almost warm - and the chicken was stringy......then - the shake had a little "off" taste - bitter and syrupy -- not cold - just cool - like it might have been sitting around a while.

A storm and the lateness of the house kept me from returning that night - so I waited for the next day to talk with the manager. His name, he stated was "N" - I will release it to Sonic, if they want to know. He started talking over me - was very abrupt in stating that he could do nothing for me - that they did not do refunds --- that he understood about the sandwich - but not the shake - since it was his shake machine and nothing could be done about that????? I told him I was not eager to have any more of his food, and I then told him, at least, to check on the boys he had working at night - that they might not be paying close attention to the food -- he told me loudly he had no problems with them - and I advised him that I was telling him of a possible problem he might want to check on - he got very loud...such customer service...anyway - your choice. To me, the consistency and temp of the food was not something consistent with the good Sonic food at Alvarado Sonic (the only one I usually go to) and for me, was cause for concern. I won't be back. Your choice...maybe I just had a one-time only ever bad experience. I hope so.
