My dog is alive thanks to Dr. Cliff Myburgh

I'm totally convinced that my faithful canine companion is alive today thanks to the expertise of Drs. Cliff and Maria Myburgh. Had I not spoken to my neighbors who take their dog to Bright Cross, I probably would have stayed with the vet who was trying to treat a chronic unidentified infection on his skin and a lump under his arm. That vet wanted to get the infection cleared up before removing a lump in his underarm. While being patient with the previous vet's regimen, his lump grew in size. I asked the vet to culture the infection but they thought it unnecessary. That first thing Dr. Myburgh did was perform a culture that came back from the lab in 5 days as an antibiotic sensitive staph infection. Dr. Cliff increased the dose of antibiotic to what it should be for a 75 lb. dog (the previous vet had my dog on a dose for a 40 lb. dog, and his infection would never have cleared up. Instead of guessing about the lump as the previous vet had done, Dr. Myburg aspirated cells from the lump and examined them under a microscope. It was a sarcoma, a malignant cancer that fortunately was caught in time. Dr. Maria Myburgh performed the surgery to remove the tumor and the pathology report came back clean. She got it all! My dog had minimal discomfort post-op and was acting like his old self within two days! I was in the medical field for 30 years and I know quality care. Bright Cross Animal Clinic is the only place where I'll take my dog from now on. Thank God I found them in time.
