The friendly service at Ace Hobbies keeps you coming back. I've been a customer for the last few months as I've been working on a few pet projects and I've never felt so welcome at a hobby shop.

Very happy w/ the service & product purchased @ Ace Hobbies in Venice. The staff went out of their way to make sure that I understood how to use my new toys & had everything I needed. Since this was my first r/c experience I had lots of questions & the time they took really made the difference. I'll definitely be back. You can tell that the owner & staff know what they're talking about. This is not just their business, you can tell it is their lifestyle. Pretty cool huh?!?

This store is the best place to find people who know about RC planes and kits. It's always easy to find the parts I need and the prices were great. Anytime I have ordered something, it has shipped very quicky. I would recommend this store to anyone who needs good service.

Ace Hobbies in Venice was very helpful in educating me about remote control planes and what would be right for my son for his birthday. Not only was the manager polite and very helpful with our purchase, the day of my sons birthday when we couldn't figure out how to get it to work they helpfully walked me through starting the plane over the phone and we were flying in minutes.

Beware of Ace hobby Venice, Florida

Recently purchased an RxR kit from the people at Ace Hobby in Venice

and found the (costly) LIPO Battery missing from the kit. I had been

told by Ace employees previous to my purchase that the battery was

included. On page 4 of the kit manual, the battery is listed as an

"replacement item" and on page 8 the manual states "...connect the

included battery pack to the battery wire coming from the ESC."

When I returned to Ace Hobby, the manager looked on the manufacturer's

web site and there it said that the kit buyer must furnish the battery!!

This kit was sold to me as a "receiver ready" kit. In other words, all I needed

apart from some assembly tools, was an RC receiver and transmitter to get

the plane flying.

The manager denied everything saying the store had no responsibility

and that I must deal with the manufacturer. He intimated that Ace Hobby

only sold the product and had no duty to the customer!!

Up to the reader to decide if you want to deal with such people!!!

Sorry we were not able to satisfy your objection but we did explain that only the RTF(Ready to fly ) not the RXR (receiver ready ) version of this plane came with the battery and Charger. This was explained at the time of purchase. apparently the manufacturer uses the same instruction manual for both versions of the model, thus this customer's confusion. We at Ace Hobbies make great efforts to educate and assist our customers with their purchases. Let us know how we can help you.
