I am honored to meet and develop a relationship with individuals, couples, families and groups. I believe therapy is a collaborative work between client and therapist. The client is the expert and I am skilled and experienced in listening, asking questions, offering choices and sitting with them as they work to make sense out of their lives. Since most clients want to find their voice, our first work together is to support them in finding it. To do so I offer questions, clarifying thoughts, ways to think and respond to life's many challenges. People do what they know and often they need to discover new ways to think and act in their lives. I work with many life issues including but not limited to the following: ADD/ADHD, anxiety, behavioral and educational issues with children and adolescents, boundary issues, chronic illness, conflict resolution issues, depression, grief and loss, marital conflicts and stuckness, parenting and co-parenting plans and mental wellness checkups for individuals, couples, families and groups. I enjoy helping children and adolescents as they manage the challenges of our 21st century culture. Frequently involved are intra or interpersonal conflicts, educational and learning issues, guidance in managing problems and navigating socially in an ever-changing world. I meet with families whose children are struggling in various life issues. I've raised three sons, worked in various educational settings and practiced private therapy.
