I came here for the first time over 5 years ago...ordered and paid for one over their combo burgers to go. When I got home I had a burger and dry bun...called to complain and all they would do is tell me that I must have ordered it that way because they wouldn't have made it like that unless I requested it. Didn't go back for over a year...tried them again and was overcharged for what I ordered. They told me that there was nothing they could do about it because corporate had just raised the prices...I pointed to their board and told them the old price that I expected to pay was on their board...they would not honor their posted price...about a year later my grandson wanted to go there so I reluctantly took him...asked if they could make the fries extra crispy...if not then I would just get the burger not the combo....they said they could but didn't....about 7 months later I tried it again. The guy in line in front of me placed his order and the woman behind the counter just rudly asked what number...he repeated his order and she again said what number...so he looked at the board and told her the number...she finally took his order...if the only English she understands are numbers then maybe she shouldn't be working the counter. I got my grandson the kids meal and he didn't even eat half of it. Now I come in today with a coupon...hand her the coupon for a free kids meal with purchase of a thick burger. My grandson wanted a milk shake. She asked me if I wanted that instead of the kids pop with the kids meal so I said yes...I ordered the original thick burger combo with extra crispy fries. When I sat down I noticed that I was charged for the kids meal so I went back up...she told me she didn't see the coupon that I handed to her. Then she said she could give me cash back even though I used my debit card...I hadn't asked...then she said that she needed my card so I went to go get my card and our food was already on the table. She didn't take my card and refunded me the whole amount then recharged me for it. Gave me the 4.59 for the kids meal and an empty glass for pop and charged me 3.99 for the milkshake...I reminded her that she said she would switch the milkshake for the pop...she said she couldn't do that with the coupon...we go to eat our food and the fries are not crispy...they are cold...we got old ones that had been sitting for who knows how long. My original thick burger was covered in guacamole...I don't like guacamole...if I wanted guacamole I would have ordered it...I have had enough...every time I have been here it is different people working here but always the same lousy food and service. I have been to other Carl's jrs and have had no problem...hazel dell has never been good...I will not be back...
