Repairing guitars and basses went hand in hand with learning how to play when I was 12 years old. I immediately took my first guitar apart and modified it. In 1987 I started working for a guitar company assembling and setting up guitars. From there I was employed by a small guitar repair shop where I started to develop my skills as a repair man and builder. It was here I secured my business license in 1990 and left to open a shop of my own in 1994 called Eric Guitar Shop, Inc. We focus exclusively on repairing, modifying and building custom guitars. I have been in the same location ever since and business has gone through the roof. We are not a music retailer, but we do carry a full line of products that relate to the services we offer. In stock are pickups, hardware, and strings by almost all manufacturers. Our mission statement is simple: Strive to offer the highest quality service and components for a fair rate and turnaround time. It sounds very basic, but after all, that is exactly what our customers want. Eric Guitar Shop, Inc. survives almost solely from word of mouth and repeat business. Therefore I know how essential it is for myself and crew to be as courteous and professional as possible. We love our clients. Aki, Frank and myself are so fortunate to have such a loyal customer base that keeps us busy every day. If you come in for a free consultation, you will have all of my personal attention. We will discuss and check everything you are concerned about on your instrument and come up with solutions that fit your budget. We will never pressure any of our clients or recommend any work that is not necessary. In addition to a high level of standards in craftsmanship, this is what I mean when I state Quality of Service in our mission statement.
