Contractor installed a new furnace and air conditioning unit in my house few months ago. He was paid in full. He never pulled permit from City even though he was requested to do so numerous times. Heat worked fine. Turned on Air conditioning now that its hot out and found it did not work. Had friend look at it and found had no refrigerant in it. Unit was brand new and comes charged. Oil all over wall outside wall where it had been discharged. AC System was never charged. Finally was able to contact him and he refused to come out and service it even though was under warranty. He claimed since we touched it warranty was void. All we did was verify it was empty and it was. I had to pay service tech to come out and check out unit and fill it. I would stay clear of this contractor. I had to eventually go pull permits my self for the work since he never would.
