*** WARNING*** THIS IS A BAD COMPANY! YP should create a 0 star rating for this company. This company is horrible, Horrible, HORRIBLE! For some reason, Dunhill Homes uses this company for appliance warranties and their customer service is deplorable. This is easily the worst experience with a company I've ever had. I was hung up on multiple times by someone named Brooke and was told to take my business elsewhere. And therein lies the irony because I never actually gave them my business. I simply submitted a warranty request through my builder's website! You should avoid this clown car of a company at all cost. There are too many companies wanting to earn your business to settle for Grayson Collin Appliance & A.C.

I found your combination of labor and trip fees to be excessive. If you charge $49 to drive less than 7 miles, what do you charge to drive to Denton? Theb you added $60 in labor.

Too bad there isn't a zero star option. I have already made a formal Better Business Bureau complaint against this company, but I realize many people read online reviews so here I am. LONG story short as possible…We have a home warranty, so we had no choice as to the company who came to "fix" our A/C unit. Called 3/29. First serviceman from this company came 4/6 & seemed like he knew what he was doing. He fixed some wiring and noticed we are out of freon so definitely a leak. He injected dye into the system and said someone would come back out to use a black light to locate the the leak. 4/9 an evaporator coil was ordered. Timing of this is weird since it wasn't until a week later when Ed (owner of the co) arrives, goes into attic, comes back stating the upstairs unit needs a new evaporator coil. CGAC tells the home warranty co the job will be complete by 4/30. But, darn, those parts are ALWAYS back ordered. So, 5/13, after heat from us and the warranty co, the part finally arrives and Ed is back. He goes into attic, comes back and asks, "Are you sure that is the unit for upstairs?" WHAT??! He stated, "We have a problem. I just replaced a perfectly good evaporator. I'll have to order the part for the other unit." He had replaced the evaporator on the wrong unit. Ed was quickly reminded that HE was the one who stated that was the unit for upstairs and that it needed an evaporator coil. We are not technicians nor do we supervise those who are technicians. He was asked if he had looked for a leak on his last visit when he had determined a coil was needed. He answered, "No. I never do that." He tried blaming the first serviceman and even said, "You know if you paid cash, it would take a week. But, since you go through a home warranty, it takes a month." Seriously?? Our warranty co verified that this isn't true information. GCAC is responsible for all ordering of parts. There is no extra time needed. Ed left knowing we were very upset. The next day his office calls to state Ed had been bitten by a brown recluse at our house and is refusing to return until we spray for spiders. Seriously?? I wish you all could see our attic. It is basically a room which could be easily converted. It's floored, very well lit and extremely roomy. I have seen one or two spiders in this house and neither was a brown recluse. His staff said, "He was told by his doctor to rush to the hospital. You know those things can be deadly?" Oh my goodness. Don't make me laugh. People do NOT die from those spiders. Bites can become infected and need lancing, but, oh man I am off subject! Ed didn't mention this bite before he left AND he left the panel open to the attic which is in my daughter's closet. Anyway, I find it highly unlikely he was bit in our house. He knew how dissatisfied we were with his "service." It is extremely sad that I think so low of this company that my first reaction was to assume he was lying about the bite. We would not have let Ed return anyway. He is incompetent and now we have realized he lies. The new, and much improved, serviceman from another company came the day after I called. They immediately diagnosed the problem AND pointed out that the evaporator is missing from the unit! Ed had, for some reason, taken the evaporator with him. AND to make matters worse, the two units in the attic are the SAME EXACT unit therefore the parts are interchangeable. No new part would have been needed. However, the unit isn't even able to be repaired. It needs replacement. Which is what is happening now. And this company diagnosed the problem, sat on my stairs & called the home warranty co, explained the problem, received authorization for ordering a new unit, ordered a new unit, communicated everything with us, showed professionalism & respect, and left all within an hour. I highly recommend you do NOT use GCAC. There are much better options out there….Thompson Heat and Air is one of those MUCH better options. Thank you.

Our four year old LG refrigerator stopped cooling, the initial tech came out and determined the compressor was bad, it is under warranty and would have to be ordered. A week later, another tech came to replace the part , he spent 45 minutes working on it and said the temp should start going down. He mentioned this was his last stop and was happy to go home early. So $388 for 45 minute job. This would all be fine if it would have worked, before the new part the temp was 45 degree, but after the new parts, it immediately started rising toward room temperature. Obviously, it's worse now. After several calls in the morning the tech finally calls and says they'll put us back on the schedule, I complain and he eventually aggress to come by at the end of his day again. We'll have to see what happens, another work day ruined... As for the office people, every time I call they act like they never heard from me, not very friendly. They also did not follow-up on our call to their emergency line at 6pm the night of the bad repair.

WORST COMPANY EVER...my washer broke down and its covered under the Lowe s Protection plan and they send Grayson collin Appliance to due the job. since the first visit the tech was very rude, he didn t fully explain what was wrong and left my house full of smoke, he then ordered a part that took two weeks to get here and and another week for them to schedule me an appointment for monday sept 23 which was cancelled because the tech was not in and rescheduled for Wednesday sept 25, when he came in and notice there was no A/C in the house he started complaining and cussing and said it was to hot to due the job, and threaten to not due the job if i didn t get him Air, i told him i couldn t get A/C but that it was fine that i would call Lowe s, when i said that he kept doing the job in the rudest way possible, and i could hear all the banging he was doing with the washer to annoy me and my 3 year old daughter was frighten by this man, he also left water all over the place, and my rug soaking wet, when he left he just gave me the invoice and didn t show me or demonstrated that the washer had been fixed, i just hope my washer works and i never again see this man s face. DON'T HIRE THEM...unless you want to go thru all this

Okay, so this company isn't th...

Okay, so this company isn't the most up-to-date company out there (voicemail is actually quite funny in it's raw-ness), and they 'block' their tech's phone number so if you are a call screener like I am, you'll miss the call. However, they literally saved me thousands of dollars by simply being honest. They came when they said they would to fix my A/C (in 107 deg heat!), they did the work, and installed it properly with no issues. I did have to call to remind them of the ordered part.... But, then the proof came when I had an issue with A/C unit #2. The warranty company said to call them directly so I did. Even though the original work was done on the other unit, and the new issue was with the other unit, the same tech came out, topped out the freon, cleaned up the unit, and called to let me know it was done! They went out of their way to just get the job done! Save me money and do what you say you'll do? That is a winning company in my book.

LIARS...LIARS...LIARS...This i...

LIARS...LIARS...LIARS...This is the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my entire adult life. This company was my only option on the frigidaire number for service repair in my area. They show up on the next business day after my call which was July 5th 2011. The repairman named Dalton was very rude insisting 3 times that nothing was wrong with my unit even though no cold air would blow out of it. He then discovers after taking it completly apart that the evaporter coil has leaked freon and has rusted. He tells me 2 weeks for the part since they have to order it and loads the AC unit up to take back to his shop for repair. (he tells me it's easier doing this in the shop since they can drink cold beer while working) what company would allow this? I called on July 18th - on the 9th business day and one of the ladies answering the phone informs me the part takes 3-10 business days to arrive and they ordered it on July 5th. ( which was a lie) I called back on July 25th after not hearing anything. The lady gets my information and tracks down Dalton. He informs her that Frigidaire is shipping me a brand new unit to my house. (which was another bald face lie) On July 29th I call frigidaire and they have no information on anything from this outfit. They then call this company and they state they do not even have my AC. even though I have their receipt. So now I have to file a Criminial complaint with my police department for theft over $200. A written complaint to the Texas Attorney Gerneral is in order and hopefully they will be investigated. Do not ever use this Company! It seems that warranty work is the only way they stay in business since nobody in their right mind would give them any business for money since they are so incompetent and unethical. I checked with the Better Business Bureau and they have a "F" grade - the lowest possible and are no longer members. I just wonder if they get tired of all their customers being pissed off...probably not.

great people & service

These people have been taking care of my appliances for years and I have never had any kind of problems with their service. I would highly recommend them to my friends and my family. Today they came out and repaired my washer and while here they also checked my refrigerator for only an additional $10.00. Now that is great customer service they could have told me to call and set up a call for another day but took care of me right then.

Disappointed

In today's ever increasing economic spiral I thought rather then call the large company in Dallas ,I would try to stimulate the coffers of someone a little closer that might be able to take the work . Hence my journey began ..

Purchased a range a few months back and it has never worked correctly . Called ten minutes ago and got a "hello" from the other side . No indication of what company I called until I asked to make sure I got the correct place.

( STRIKE ONE)

After explaining my problem to the young lady whom never identified herself even after twice giving my name , I explained how the range wasn't working correctly and was under warranty , I requested an appointment for after

1600 CST . She said that wouldn't be a problem and kept taking my information. She then begins to explain their inter company working procedure and I came away with the idea she hadn't understood my request

( STRIKE TWO)

Upon further speaking with her she then tells me that technician would call sometime after 0900 to give me a time he would be there . I once again explained clearly that I needed an appointment after 4PM and this time either the coffee kicked in or she was awake enough and heard me , because NOW she states she can't pin point when the work could be done!! I'm sorry but being in the service industry such as they are, you would think to increase business they might want to rethink their procedure on taking appointment.

The Worst Ever!

This company doesn't care one bit about customer service. I purchased an extended warranty through Lowes on my appliance and when my dryer went ont they sent Grayson Collin Appliance as the service provider. Took then 3 days to come out once arrived service was very poor. It has take two weeks for them to get the part needed and when they did finally get the part they called and scheduled an appointment to come back out I took off work and they didn't show up of call. Dryer is still broken and I hope Grayson Collin Appliance goes out of business. I only gave one star because I can't give them zero on here.
