Came by the last day of April looking to get away from the tiny gym I was going to. I honestly can't remember the guy's name that took me on a tour but he did a pretty good job. When we sat down and spoke I of course expected the yearly "maintenance fee" (your corporate people's bonuses). And although out of my budget the pool addition and equipment selection made it worth it. I was also led to believe that towel service was incorporated in ALL plans, I'll get back to that. I did the 1 time comp training with a trainer he took me thru my favorite workout TRX but I could feel as we went thru I had reached my "breaking point" and told him so but he pushed me thru and I spent the next 3 days unable to fully extend my arms or lift above my shoulder, needless to say I kept the workout form but I'm not signing up for training. Fast forward to today. Came in after a gruling shift at work the young lady scanned my little card and I asked for a large towel as I was going swimming. After a few moments she advised me that towels were not on my plan that I would have to add on for $5, I even spoke to the original person who signed me up and he stated that I had to add them on. I would think that given the amount y'all charge + the corporate bonus (oops maintenance fee) you would've tried to keep a customer happy by adding on a simple service. Be that as it may I like your gym more than my old one and I'll keep coming but very wary about referring ANYONE.

Ripped off

The gym itself is decent with plenty of equipment and in pretty good condition. The problem is the dishonest way it is run. My wife signed up for a trainer for a year, once a week. She did it for 4 months and then got pregnant at which time they said she could save all her workouts (and keep paying during the layoff of course) and return whenever she was ready. Then In Shape switched to provide their own trainers to save them money and my wife was once assured all her classes were still usuable. She went back and they told her she had zero hours because their new policy is the hours expire and they would try to get them back. They then tell her that they got her back the "small handful of workouts" she had left (even though she had 30), which is equivalent to about a 1000$. We never signed a contract where the hours expire thus we are going to have to either sue them for our money back or for a 1000$ back.

DONT DO IT! This place is a joke and are con artist! Will tell you anything you want to hear just to get you to join! My husband made it VERY clear that due to his work he moves alot and asked a few times if cancellation was okay they said yes but would be 200 dollars. (okay thats fine) So today we go in to find out that they refused to cancel us!!! I explained my situation of how we could no longer afford the gym because we are having to move to a larger home and that the household size would be going up so we needed to save any extra penny. HE DIDNT CARE!! Just kept tell us that since we only did a one year contract we were not allowed to cancel unless we have a doctors note OR if we move where there is no IN shape. Then continued to say Well since ur paying for it just come nad enjoy it.

Really?!!!

Do not do it SO not worth itl
