I have attended Midwest Believers Church since it started. We had a fire at our building on Philo Road in Urbana in November 2011, and we were relocated to a hotel for several months. After that time, we bought and renovated our new building. Please note that the church is NOT CLOSED, but we are no longer at the Philo location since the church fire. Our NEW LOCATION is 1802 S Duncan, Champaign, IL 61822 (former Moose lodge).

Midwest Believers Church has amazing and caring Pastors, Trent and Rhonda Cloin. They care about people with a warmth and kindness that truly sets them apart. The church body is very giving. I had people help me financially with my rent when I was unemployed, and my church gives to the local ministry Salt & Light monthly with items like toliet paper. We recently donated baskets to Robeson Elementary school full of crayons, cleaning supplies, and other items for the teachers, and we previously have given out cookie platters to local businesses. We also have done numerous outreaches to kids in local parks on hot days, giving out water and suckers.

The service times are Sunday at 10:30 am and Wednesday Bible study at 7 pm. The church is great for families and kids, and lots of activities are for them. We have a teen group that meets twice a month called Ignite. There is also an upperclassman group. However, there currently are not many singles in their 20's and 30's at the church, but hopefully that age group will grow. Finally, we do numerous activities, such as an annual Ladies tea, and this past Christmas we had an old-fashioned Christmas celebration with horse and carriage rides, cookies, and kids activities. We organize a 5K run/walk which we have done the past several years in October. No church is perfect, but overall, I highly recommend this church due to its caring Pastors and people, helping those in need in the community, and lots of special events and ministries.
