We recently contracted with Ryan, Inc. to install geothermal heating/cooling and a stand-alone generator in our house. We could not be happier with the results. From the very start, Patrick Ryan and his entire team were exceptional. Patrick has a level of understanding about the process that is both impressive and reassuring. His knowledge is exceeded only by his honesty and attention to customer service. The Ryan team is equally as impressive. To a man, the multiple team members working on our home were knowledgeable, professional, courteous and went out of their way to ensure that the job was done correctly and that we were happy with the results. The installation team leader in particular, Kenny, is exceptional. We cannot say enough good things about Ryan. The choice to switch to geothermal can be intimidating and unfamiliar, but Ryan made it easy.

The best contractor I've dealt with by far!

Top to bottom awesome company! I had one of the best experiences dealing with Ryan company. I recently had geothermal system installed by them (btw it's amazing). Previously I had propane heat which cost me a fortune. Every single contact with the company was simply outstanding. I got a quick appointment and estimate. Pat, who came out to do the estimate, was superb in explaining my options and how the system would work. The girls in the office, Palmira and Crestina, were super helpful with applying for financing, any permits, and all kinds of paperwork. Additionally, every single worker who was a part of Ryan's team, was exceptionally polite, punctual and precise ( they even played with my dog and tried to explain what they are doing to my 4 yr old twins :) Furthermore, every day they left they made sure to clean up after themselves to make our lives a little easier. I can't imagine a better experience. The project was done timely and right. I could not recommend this company any stronger! I even talked few of my neighbors into looking into geothermal too. Hope you pick them for your next project, because trust me they are soooooo worth the money!

I am a retired contractor in NJ and I recently installed an 8kW Generac generator at my home (purchased at Home Depot). The installation went pretty smoothly with the help of an electrician I used to work with and my son. Before I had even set the generator up I received a notice from Generac that my transfer switch was being recalled and that a new one would have to be installed by a Generac certified dealer. They recommended Ryan in the email so I called them and set up an appointment.

Two techs (Rob and Chris) came out to replace the transfer switch which they did with ease in half an hour. But they wanted to make sure their installation worked and to do that they would have to set up the generator. They started that process with a call to Generac to get a startup number (specific to my generator that you can only get as a dealer) which they plugged into the on board computer. They then tried to turn the generator on which is where the problems began.

The engine in the generator was "cranking" (trying to start) but it would not "tumble over" (switch from the starter motor to running on the natural gas). I was interested in what was going on so I actually stayed with them throughout the troubleshooting process during which they taught me all these terms they had learned in Generac training. They began troubleshooting the issue using a Generac provided book of flowcharts and tests.

They worked at the problem for over 5 hours. They went through test after test trying to isolate the component that was failing. At one point they got to a test that required a special piece of equipment which they had to leave to purchase. They were back in 20 minutes and back at it. Finally, after going through an incredible amount of testing, they figured out the problem was the fuel regulator. What was happening was that the engine in the generator was cranking and trying to start but there would be no fuel coming in through this tiny regulator in a back corner of the system. Because there was no fuel the engine would just keep cranking and cranking and not switch to natural gas. Imagine trying to start your car, but just without any gasoline - that was the problem here.

After the problem was located, they called their office to order the new part and set up an appointment to install it. The service they gave me- their persistence, their ability troubleshoot the issue, their willingness to show my what they were doing, and their friendly personality - was impeccable. As a retired contractor, I have seen some really terrible work where clearly no effort was put it. That is absolutely NOT the service you get from Ryan. This company is competent, honest, and above all comprised of respectable and well trained technicians. Call Ryan once and I can assure you they will be the only company you will call from then on.

Last year, we made the decision to replace our old oil furnace. The new heating system that includes a new water heater works great. We saw a drastic reduction in our heating bill. Patrick Ryan and his crew worked efficiently and very professional. I was very impressed how everything was done so quickly. We highly recommend them.

We purchased a Navien tankless water heater from Ryan just over a year ago. It recently stopped working so I called Ryan up and they had a tech (Wesley – great guy) come out and look at it. Turned out it needed a replacement part (some kind of water valve). The contract stated a 1 year warranty, but Wesley called the head of the company, one of the Ryan's, who then called me. He informed me that the company had recently switched over to 5 year warranties and that he would be like to put our system under that warranty. All I can say is wow. Where do you see that: getting more than you paid for. Great company.
