Jack Welch When Sam Motchkin opened Perfect Optical in 1978, together with his wife Anna, he brought Jack Welch's idea to the forefront of his new company. Arriving in the United States just a few years earlier, following a 15 year labor camp detainment for his political activism against Communism, he brought this same commitment and energy to Perfect Optical. Over the years, Perfect Optical has grown into one of the leading optical lens distributors in the New York metro area. Mr. Motchkin believed that exceptional customer service would provide buyers with confidence in the company. Since Mr. Motchkin's passing in 2002, his son, Israel, has maintained his business model and continually seeks to develop creative ways to keep up with the demands and desires of the customer. In 2005, a surfacing and finishing lab was added, which has further developed quality customer appreciation and dedication to the product. Perfect Optical is known for its expedient delivery times, extensive inventory, competitive pricing and specialized professionalism. The company has been a trendsetter for the optical lens market: in 1983 the company had fully computerized billing. It was also from the first to bring the price conscious ECP, a whole range of budget lenses. Recently, Perfect Optical has transitioned to touch screen ordering to ensure accuracy and speed of delivery, and is currently working on a project to go completely paperless in the near future.
