I’ve been using Apex Stony Brook Kennel as long as we’ve had our dog (10 years). Wouldn’t take her anywhere else. The staff/owners are wonderful, kind and know their business. Rates are affordable.

I moved here with the coast guard and quickly found apex stony brook kennel. Let me just begin by saying what a wonderful find this was. Such friendly, reliable and welcoming people! I am extremely reluctant to trust anyone with my two fur babies but this place gives me such peace of mind. Extremely affordable and wonderful care given to all the animals here! Love this place!

We brought our old ( very ) cat to Apex, and are so grateful for the love, care, attention , and expert care that he was given. The owners obviously love animals and have extensive knowledge of animal care. The owners are very sweet and helpful and the experience was fantastic for our beloved pet, and for us as a family. I would absolutely recommend the kennel to anyone who loves their pet !!

This is the first time I've used a kennel. The dogs were with them for a whole 4 months and Tom and Ellen couldn't have been nicer. Their prices are VERY reasonable. I felt completely at ease leaving both my dogs with them. They even gained weight. :-)

Tom and mom are great people and real dog lover's. My shepherd Jake looks forward being boarded there and I highly recommend their kennel where you can know your pet is being cared for.

We got home from our vacation very late Thursday night and picked up my Maddie (dog) at 5:30 yesterday. The only place I would trust to keep my Maddie is Apex Stoneybrook Kennel! I never had used a kennel before last year and this is the only one I would ever use! The family is so caring and thoughtful and they love my girl. The hours are very flexible too! Maddie looked great, smelled good and is very soft too! :-) I would NEVER leave her anywhere else!!!

I relocated to the Montville area a few months ago and have to say the BEST part of this move is having found this kennel - only 1/2 a mile from home. I have now boarded my Greyhounds twice and cannot praise this business enough! I had to use them this time due to having surgery, and not only were my dogs taken care of as if they were pets of the owners, but they were then brought back to me so I did not have to worry about getting them home. I could go on and on about how amazing this kennel is, but the best way to wrap it all up is to simply say - use them whenever you need to board your furkids!!!!

I have used Apex Stony Brook kennels a number of times during the past few years and have never had a poor experience.



This past time has given me reason to write this review of my experience. My most recent trip was a long weekend to visit some friends in Philadelphia, not wanting to drive I arranged to take the train, I dropped my dog off on the way to the station and was to pick him up when I got home. I had about an hour between arriving back and getting to the kennel (about half an hour from the station) and when they closed. When it became obvious that I was not going to make it, due to the train being an hour behind, I called and was told that stopping by after they were "closed" was alright.



This experience will cause me to continue using Apex Stony Brook kennels.



All in all the owners are very friendly and accommodating

We have been bringing our two dogs to Apex Stony Brook Kennel for 10 years, and we have never been disappointed! Our dogs actually RUN to Tommy when we arrive! The customer service we receive everytime is outstanding, and we never have to worry while we are away. Our dogs are always groomed before they come home, and they always look and smell fantastic! We used several kennels in the area before finding Apex Stony Brook Kennel, but this family owned business is the only kennel we will ever trust with our dogs!

We have been bringing our two dogs to Apex Stoneybrook Kennel since at least 2005 and would not consider taking them anywhere else. The staff is friendly and professional and our dogs are consistently happy when we pull in the driveway to drop them off. They have administered medications when needed and have groomed our Malamute for an additional fee. They do a great job with her! The facility is nice & clean. I have recommended them to family. We have never been dissatisfied. I would strongly encourage any pet owners to check them out!

I have been bringing my Pitbull to this kennel for over a year and I would not bring him anywhere else. He is very well taken care of and they do not discriminate against his breed. The prices are the best around and I like that they are small staffed, because they really pay attention to your animals needs and they get to know them. I highly recommend this kennel, and if my dog had a say, he would too!

This is not a big fancy kennel, but they do an excellent job. Tommy and his family have been caring for our animals for years and we couldn't be happier. Whether your pet is old, young or has special needs, you can trust this kennel. If you want a glitzy place go to Glastonbury.
