We are so fortunate to have a locally owned bakery that focuses on excellent choices of bakery items. All are from scratch recipes. They are very customer-friendly and do specialty cakes and trays. We love the carrot cake! Delicious menu!

I have been a visitor to the Village Bakery for over twenty years. When my children were young a quick stop for gingerbread men or women or cookies was a must. My dinner guest enjoyed the most delicious desserts that a forty mile drive from Athens could afford. And when my daughter decided to marry, she chose to use the Village Bakery for her wedding cake. The cake was delivered on time to the Athens Country Club, an out of town venue, and was not only delicious but was gorgeously decorated and expertly adorned with brilliant crystals. Of all the vendors we dealt with planning the wedding, we knew through past experience that we need not worry about the cake. Village Bakery is probably one of the best bakeries in town. They are a little on the expensive side, but sooo worth it! Everything I have ever had there (which includes coconut creme cake, brownies, cookies, I can't even name them all) is not only beautiful, but very delicious! If you want to make an impression by bringing baked goods to a party or social gathering or anything, go to Village! You will not be disappointed!

I wanted a pale pink wedding cake with a ivory fondant bow on top. I wanted the grooms cake to be a carrot cake with a light gold colored "M" on top. They ended up putting chocolate frosting and a bright orange "M" on top of my pink cake! I don't even want the pictures of our expensive wedding cake. It makes me want to cry every time I look at them. Never use village bakery!
