I worked for my employer for over 15 years. I started sweeping the floors out of high school at $7.00 per hour with 5 employees to becoming the Operations Director making mid six figures with 35+ employees. My employer was getting ready to retire the last three years of my employment and we agreed I was going to purchase the company from him. We set the price, the date and negotiated all terms of the agreement. Based on our agreement, I designed and implemented new marketing strategies, internal procedures and grew the company 40%.



Without any notice, sixty days prior to the sale date, I was terminated and advised the company was no longer for sale. It appeared that greed had set in and my employer had changed his mind on selling the company due to the huge growth. I had invested 15 years of my life, committed myself and my family to a vision and agreement, I grew the company by 40% in less than 3 years, and I rejected another lucrative business opportunities to remain on track with our agreement. My employer unscrupulously gave into greed and threw me to the street.
