I love their rice soup and chicken it be so good😩.

I heard such good things about this place but it was NOT good! Service was horrible! I have never had fried rice with only rice and egg, grill was too high and everything was burnt on both sides. I will never go back I will stick with Shogun in Huntsville or Tokyo in Prattville. If you are ever near either one you will never return to Hokkaido.

My first time in here and the worst service ever. The owner has no remorse for his customers if they don't like their food. I ordered chicken and shrimp and the food didn't look good enough to eat and they only gave me four shrimp with the meal so I didn't want the shrimp so I asked for the steak instead which the owner said that was fine but when I got my ticket he had charged me for two meals which was a $30 ticket so he had to come back to see what's the problem and I told him then he tells me, "Who is going to pay for that because you didn't want it", never once in my whole life had a manager or the owner tell me to pay for something I didn't want. Never going back.

We went with a group of 8 and did the hibachi (tables seat 10) so the wait was basically nonexistent since we didn't have to wait for others to join our table. The waiter who took the orders and got drinks was nice and attentive and the hibachi cook was funny and entertaining. The hibachi meals all come with soup, a salad, hibachi vegetables and fried rice/noodles.

I got the teriyaki chicken and my boyfriend ordered 2 sushi rolls without hibachi and it was more than enough food for the both of us to share. The total was around $48, but that was also with the gratuity that they add in (18%) for parties of 8 or more.

I would definitely go back.
