Awful, I received a text message saying my ride had been booked, half hour later, still waiting, made a phone call was told they'd get someone to me right away, finally after another half hour he finally showed up! Driver was clean cut and very nice yet still got lost when I was giving him step by step directions! I'd tell him turn left, he'd turn right, and vice versa! Not happy at all!!

discount cab is a horrible cab service company they offer 10 dollars off your ride and do not give it to you after trying on the app and online even calling to complain they still don't provide it they suck ! I will NEVER use there service again nor will I EVER recommend it to anyone #discountcab SUCKS

Dont call if emergency wont anser or to dam slow.

Tried callin july25 5a.m. no 1 ansered was told wen i called for cab july 24 at 8p.m.5 to 20 min 1hour n half later shows very unreliable wont ever use agin sucks

I make cab reservations a week in advance for my son who depends on the ride to attend his day program. Once more today, 3/27/15, I get a call at 8:14 AM that will be at the house in 15 minutes. My reservation was for 7:30 AM. The cab driver said he had just gotten the call for the pick up. This happens every week we use the service. This is terrible that individuals with disabilities can have reliable transportation service!

Disgusting AND a ripoff

I got picked up after staying out too late and the buses weren't running. As soon as I got in the cab I could smell urine and puke. Don't they clean these cabs? The driver was scary looking and smelled. He took a wrong turn which added to my fare and when I complained about it, he said if I didn't pay the full fare he would call the cops. Well I paid it, but never again will I hire this taxi service. They should call it "Discount Ripoff"

I had an emailed confirmation for a 5am pickup but they never Showed up, didn't call or explain. I called when they were 5 minutes late and was informed that there was no one on the way! No explanation, no apologies.



20 minutes later I received a call that they were heading my way. I had already called a reputable cab company but missed my shuttle to Phoenix (a 10 minute drive) and missed my flight to the East Coast.. Their office is also 10 minutes from my house.



Never, in my wildest dreams, will I ever use these people again! It is inconceivable that a company can be so mismanaged that they will send a written confirmation and then just forget about you.



I assume when there folks go bust, as they deserve, there will be a bunch of green Prius' for sale in Tucson.



I only wish there was a negative rating for companies that cost you money for doing business with them!

Clean, professional, safe! Free ride back program!

The Good:Discount Cab does not hire criminals! I understand they have school district contracts and have to keep it clean.CHEAP! $2.10 a mile, NO hidden charges for credit cards and all the cabs have credit card machines and A/C! Most of the sketchier cab companies charge $3 or $3.50 per mile! They mostly use hybrids! Go green!They give you a free ride back to your car if you drove someplace and had a few drinks! ONLY company I've found that does this so I don't know how they stay so cheap.All of the driver's I've ridden with were professional in attitude and never inappropriate with any of my female friends. I've only had a smelly old guy driver once.$2 off coupons if you can find them!One of my friends had a fight with her boyfriend and got kicked out of his house at 3 AM with no shoes, no money, and only her CatCard. One of their drivers stopped to see if she was OK and gave her a totally free ride back to her dorm with no strings. She lost his card but remembered he wore harry potter glasses and had a pic of his kid in a knight costume on his phone. Total class!The BAD:Pretty much it's all about the dispatch system. Their dispatchers aren't even located in Tucson and have no idea where anything is. The dispatchers are slow, the cabs are fast. There will almost always be a lonnnnng wait on a Friday or Saturday night during prime time club hours. The dispatchers sent my call to a Phoenix address once and I was late for work. Usually we get a cab super fast but I absolutely do not recommend using their texting or interactive systems. You're better off just waiting to talk to a live person. Keep bugging the dispatchers if the cab isn't there in 20 minutes.SUMMARY:Minus one star for the occasional problems with their dispatch but adding stars for not hiring criminals and hoodrats and for using hybrids! Get the cell of the drivers you like and try calling them direct. I have never had a bad or sketchy driver from Discount.

I flagged a discount cab on 4th ave last weekend. Driver was awesome. I had not been in a Prius before and was very impressed with the room. I'm 6'3. And my friend was 6'1. We both fit in the back comfortablely The driver was awesome he knocked $5 off the fare without even us asking I will never use anyone else again.

They SUCK!! Not Dependable at all

If you happen to catch a driver on street or while they're parked you might be lucky to get a ride. If you do get a driver, get the driver's number and call the drivers directly they're more eager to help you. Do not use them if you need to schedule a pick up or need a scheduled pick up. Their dispatchers suck and have no customer service skills. They'll take the reservation, but forget to pass it down, or they'll dispatch it too late. The dispatchers dont care about customers and never communicate with the drivers.

Discount Cab

Discount is always, at least, 45 minutes late; even when I call in advance they are still an hour late. One occasion I called, was left standing by the road for hours waiting for them. When I called dispatch (which I had to do multiple times in the 3.5 hour span that I stood waiting) I was given every excuse from, “You called and canceled”, to “Your driver is 5 minutes away”, to “The diver already picked you up.” The dispatchers at Discount Cab really need to come up with better lies to feed their customers, because no one’s buying them. This is the last time I’m using their “service”.

Horrible! I've been left standing by the road for hours! Every time I would call to ask where my cab was I would get another lame excuse. I was told that I had called and canceled (which I had not), I was told the cab was 5 minutes away, so on, for no less than 3 hours. The next time I used their poor excuse for service I used their on-line reservations. I reserved the cab service at 12 (noon) for a 2:30pm pick up. At 3:10pm (after I was late and had to cancel my appointment) they claimed that they had been to the pickup address and picked up someone with my name. Seems interesting to me, that I while I stood in front of my building for 45 minutes, I would totally missed a bright green cab and, apparently, my impersonator. I immediately deleted their number from my phone. With so many other cab services to choose from, this is the last time I'll call Discount Cab.
