I have been a member there since I was in high school. 1992 I think. I remember when everything was in what is now the cardio room. Now my wife and I drive up from Rita Ranch to work out there. Despite the distance, we don’t plan on changing gyms. Here’s why…First, you’ve got an amazing childcare staff. I have been bringing my daughters since they were babies. They keep the kids safe, but still let them have fun. I am able to relax and enjoy my workout because I trust those ladies. To me, as a parent, this is the most valuable thing your gym has to offer. Second, Antonio is great. He is always in a great mood and always friendly. Bars are bent? Replaced. Need some clips? Done. Bathroom is in need of attention? Cleaned. Got a question about my account? Answered. I have never had an issue that he didn’t address or deal with. Everything is new, clean, and kept in working order. All of your staff is polite and friendly. You’ve got something for everyone!

First this Gym is dirty and some of the instructors are out shape. I’m a member of this fitness and I travel a lot so places I go there no Desert sport fitness like Nebraska. Any how I’m in town my brother just came from out of town to visit me and I invite him to work out with me and we go to the gym and guess what they don’t let me in because I owe 55.00. OMG! Are you serious this is how you talk to your customers! Doest not ask me if have the money or when can I make the payment they tell me you can’t come in until you pay in full. I Mad I log in to my account and see that payment were taken off last two month everything should be okay. Any how I call back to ask for account payable number and I call 733-9659 talk to this lady unprofessional first of all I talk to her explain the situation and she tells me because I miss a payment on August there no fund available in my account and that they had try twice. Okay fine! No ONE call me to notified me and IM sOORY ! This is just AWESOME! Poortly handle!

So-called personal trainers are unprofessional and do not take customer service seriously. When they aren't hanging with their "buds" or intimidating women, they are glued to a computer surfing the web. The gym is constantly unorganized, cluttered, and dirty. TVs do not work properly. When is LA Fitness opening on the Southwest side???

One of the best things I love about the gym is that there's plenty of equipment for everyone to use. I also think that this gym is one of the best gym's in the south west side. I'm not currently a member yet but I did have a three day guest pass which sold me to get enrolled to this gym. Just come and see for your self what I'm talking about!! come and see for yourself and you would probably join to, see you at the gym.

I signed a contract in '07 and was a member for approx. 8 months. I then found out I was going to be transferred to Michigan with my job. I let the gym know about 1 month before I was to leave. I get moved, and to my suprise I receive a collection notice from their bill collectors. I tried to dispute on my credit report, but they would not drop it. I called their collection service and they were RUDE, the lady was yelling at me on the phone calling me a liar pretty much. I have proof of my transfer, and now in the end of 09 it is still on my report, and they still will not budge on removing it. They lied and told me that if I was transferred x amount of miles away where there is no gym, I would not be responsible for my contract, READ THE FINE PRINT if you are going to sign up with this joke of a gym, otherwise you will have a negative on your credit report just as I did and many others I have read. There are plenty of gyms out there, seek them out, they will be more reasonable.

I got a gym membership at Desert Sport & Fitness, in 07. Later in 08' I wanted to transfere my membership to a girl friend of mine who was wanting to work out. I called Matt asking about how to switch this over, and then I was told it is NON-Transferable!!!! I was shocked!!! Seeing how Matt (The Manager) told me to my face while I was signing my contract that it WAS transferable. After reading all the fine print in the contract, I have come to realize that I was lied to my face on more than one occation via Desert Sport & Fitness of Tucson. My advice to anyone who is thinking of getting a membership with Desert Sport & Fitness is to really read everything on there contract. They are not honest, and they are not nearly as friendly once you sign the dotted line. Watch out for Matt, he is not an honest person, which is scary, seeing how is he is the MANAGER....makes you wonder how the rest of the staff will be once your "part of the club"
