There is another company in Georgia with a very similar name that was approved by the state. Please don't confuse the two businesses. The other is an LLC and is only one man with a very good reputation. This is also a mobile company, and not affiliated with this company. I left a decent review so not to hurt their business, but I've never done business with them. Be aware there's two businesses with a similar name in Georgia that were both approved by the state.

Great people to deal with. Everyone I have met at Mower Menders has been friendly, knowledgable and efficient. I had my mower in for a service and the day I picked it up I hit a chunk of metal and having applied a new blade was still having problems - turned out I hadn't put the blade on right. They checked it out for me, put on the blade correctly and put on a (used) air filter within 5 minutes and it was all sorted out for free - I threw in some beer money, but even so, that is quality service! Will definitely remain my go to place for parts and maintenance.

DON'T GO THERE! Can't trust them

I had diagnosed that my Craftsman 13.5 HP had a bad ignition coil. I removed my old part & took it to Mower Menders to purchase a replacement. I was waited on by a gentleman that said he was the owner. He brought out a replacement for the part I brought in & I purchased it. After installing the new part in my mower (I noticed it fit but not well) I was still not getting a spark & the mower would not start. At this point I contacted Mobile Mower Medics, Inc. When they checked out my mower it was discovered I'd been given the wrong part. The service person replaced the coil I purchased from Mower Menders with the correct coil & the mower started immediately. Derrick the serviceman, indicated he felt sure I could return the incorrect part for a refund. He knew Mower Menders & did business with them & felt they would do right by me.

I drove 25 miles to return the part & spoke to the same person that sold me the wrong part (the owner of the business.) I had the part they had sold me in its original box, the part I had brought in to match, and the receipt from Mobile Mower Medics showing the part had been replaced. First he questioned that I'd gotten the part there. I showed him the receipt and reminded him of the initial purchase when HE sold me the wrong part. He said he did remember the transaction & that yes he knew Derrick from Mobile Mower Medics. The coil he sold me was for a walk behind mower & I had CLEARLY told him I had a rider. He would NOT give me a refund as they "didn't take returns on electrical parts." I pointed out that it was he that selected & sold me the wrong part but he refused to take any responsibility for the error despite my complete documentation. He said he "didn't know" thyat he'd supplied the wrong part. I even offered to accept store credit if he didn't want to give me cash but he again REFUSED TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS ERROR leaving me to bear the total responsibility. Not only was he sticking me with a $60 part he supplied me in error, but if he had sold me the correct part I would not have had the $180 Service Call from Mobile Mower Medics. Then there was the 50 mile round trip to bring the part back. This shop is apparently incompetent & worse, totally unwilling to take any responsibility for their errors, rude & I feel dishonest. If he was not POSITIVE he sold me the correct part to replace the worn part I brought him to match HE SHOULDN'T HAVE SOLD IT TOO ME!

Honest folks who have a wide array of new equipment including Honda and Echo, 2 brands every place should carry and do not. They also rent. They do repairs. I have used them for years. The other shops in the area were not good, and this place less expensive and does better work. I have had 15 repairs done when the tool needed it. I know what's wrong with my tools. I bring to them and they put the proper part on them and they work, then, for years. I like these folks and the others telling you not to go here, are steering you in the wrong direction from the 1 place I will take my tools too, and this is where I buy them. If you find a price somewhat less on the Internet, they will compete for your business. Call them, ask them. I know when I tell you about this business which I have frequented for more than a decade after finally finding them, that this is where to go to get parts, or have them do the repair and that their selection is better than the large hardware stores who only carry the cheap models when what you need is lawn and gardening tools, which do the job, not necessarily the cheap model. This review is not based on going into the business one-time ever and not knowing what I am doing or talking about on the matters at hand.

The people at Mower Menders of...

The people at Mower Menders of Georgia are about the rudest people that I have ever done business with. They belittle and criticized the customer. I live not far from the store and need mower parts quite often. Many times, I know they have the parts, but because they are so rude, I often order them offline, paying high shipping cost so I DON'T HAVE TO SEE OR HEAR THEM. I went in there today for the last time, where I was chided and scolded for not having my part number with me. I didn't know that I would be going near the store, so I didn't have it with me. Good ridince Mower Menders of Georgia! I constantly tell everyone around me not to do business with you

My wife and I have had our law...

My wife and I have had our lawn mower serviced by Mower Menders every spring for 2-3 years. While the service wasn't always "with a smile", the work was good and the mower kept mowing. The mower is a Toro and about 4 years old.

Last summer (2011) the self-propelled drive on the mower wasn't working correctly. I took the mower to the shop and after they examined it, we were told that the transmission was completely broken and it would cost us approximately $250 to replace.

We decided to just buy a new mower because the cost of the repair was high enough to justify the expense, coupled with the added ease of use of a brand new mower.

Since the mower could still cut grass, just not in a self-propelled fashion, I gave the mower to my mom and dad for use at their church, which has a small yard.

My dad decided to refurbish it a little, ie clean it up, tighten bolts, cables, etc... While doing this he discovered the drive belt for the self-propel was frayed. After getting a new belt, installing it, and tightening the cable that engages the drive, the mower works perfectly.

Thus, the conclusion I reach is that Mower Menders willfully, purposefully and dishonestly told me that my mower needed a $250 repair, when really it needed a new belt and some extremely minor repair work.

It is possible that the person who worked on it was simply inexperienced and missed the simple fix I've outlined. However, even if this is the case, Mower Menders is still culpable of incompetent service, if not outright dishonesty.

Either way, Mower Menders is not a place to take your lawn mower for service. Since they are a well known and successful business, an inexperienced worker is probably not the culprit here. I'm inclined to believe that the quoted repair was fraudulently given to me in a ham-fisted attempt to bilk me out of a significant sum of money.

I wish I could give them no stars or negative stars as a rating, but the website does not allow this.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR MOWER SERVICED AT MOWER MENDERS.

Took a blower in to have gas tank leak repaired. MM promised to have it done the next week. When I called they indicated they were still waiting on the part but they would call me the next week when done. 2 weeks later I called them and got the same story but they promised a call back that week. That Thursday I called back after no return call. Said computer was down and would have to call me back before end of day. Never got a call back. The next week I went and got it. They were indignant I had not given them more of a chance. Very rude. When I asked what part they were waiting on, just for fun, they said a carberator. Far cry from a hose for a gas tank.
