At Georgia Eye Associates, our eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as eye diseases and conditions that affect your vision—many of which do not always have obvious symptoms. Our eye doctors, both ophthalmologists (MDs) and optometrists (ODs), know how age and risk factors affect vision over time, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses (eyeglasses and contact lenses), as well as the benefits of surgical procedures to provide permanent vision correction or to treat more serious eye conditions. No matter where you live in the Atlanta metro area, be it Lawrenceville, Tucker or Buckhead, our optometrists and ophthalmologists take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.

Dr Rabitsch is an extremely competent optometrist. She is detailed oriented and very particular about the care she delivers. I would recommend her services to anyone needing eye care.

I am a visual arts teacher and begin to notice that I was having trouble seeing hue and value changes. I thought it was part of growing older, but decided to have an eye exam. The exam revealed that I had cataracts and slight astigmatisms in both eyes. Since I have never worn contacts and had problems even putting drops in my eyes, the news that I need surgery was very stressful to me. Dr. Kris Gillian talked to me about having lens replacement surgery at the same time as the cataracts were removed. He said the surgery would take about 20 minutes. I had used reading glasses in the past and he said I had a good chance of not needing them anymore if I chose the multi-focus lens. I worried right up until the day of surgery that I would somehow do something (twitch or blink) during surgery and that would hinder the success of the surgery. Well I was so pleased with the experience and outcome. The nurses at the hospital were attentive and friendly and this kept me calm. Dr. Gillian came in before the surgery to assure me that things would be fine and it would take just a few minutes. With that I decided to find courage and get through the surgery. I am so glad I did! There was no pain and the procedure was very quick. The next day, I was reading the eye chart with amazing accuracy......no more keeping up with reading glasses. I love my look without glasses; i look so much younger and I am not squinting in order to get my eyes to focus. I would highly encourage anyone to consider the multi-focus lens replacement surgery for overnight improvement in their eye sight. The only drawback to the multi-focus lens is found in night driving. For the first few months the headlights of cars take on a halo effect. This goes away with time as the eye and brain begin to work together with the new lens. I have no problems now (3 months after surgery) with night time driving. The halos are much smaller now but could take 4-6 months to look normal again. I love my new eyes!

Dr. Kris Gillian and his staff at Georgia Eye Associates have given me new eyes after a lifetime of glasses. I never knew what I had been missing while wearing glasses for over 60 years. For many, cataract surgery is dreaded…needlessly. As far back as I can remember tops of trees were just green blurs. Just about daily I look out now and marvel at the leaves on trees and the color of birds.
Recently, I experienced Dry Eye. Dr. Gillian diagnosed, treated and ended 90+% of my dry eye condition.
Dr. Gillian and his staff are professional, personable, knowledgeable and more than proficient at their trade. I could not be more pleased. Without hesitation or reservation, I recommend Dr. Gillian and Georgia Eye Associates. Over a period of years, I have visited all three of Georgia Eye Associate’s offices and found all to be exemplary.

My husband and I went to the Georgia Eye Associates Tucker location for our eye exams this year. Dr. Rabitsch saw my husband, who had been having a lot of trouble with his vision. He had seen another eye doctor about the problem but got no relief, so we came to her hoping she could help. She was excellent and diagnosed his problem right away. With a regimen of eye drops and regular follow-up exams, he is seeing much more clearly and will be seeing Dr. Rabitsch from now on.

I was seen by Dr. Gillian for my annual exam and a cataract evaluation. He was friendly and thorough, and he took the time to clearly explain what cataracts are and how they are treated. Although I do have cataracts, he said they were mild and didn't need to be removed at this time. I appreciated that he didn't push me to have surgery. I will definitely continue to see Dr. Gillian and will choose him to do my surgery when and if it's needed.

Georgia Eye Associates is a very good source for vision care. I typically go to the office in Buckhead but this office in Tucker is very close to my work. The staff is very professional, thorough and friendly.
