The Appellate Division Clerk's Office is a part of the Appellate Division of New Jersey Judiciary, which is an independent branch of the New Jersey government. The Appellate Division is comprised of more than 30 judges who hear appeals from the decisions of the United States Tax Court, trial courts and administrative agencies. It decides more than 7,000 appeals and over 7,500 motions annually. The Appellate Division Clerk's Office processes the notices of appeals, motions, briefs and appendices, transcripts and miscellaneous filings. It also processes and distributes court calendars and decisions. The office maintains a staff of case managers, attorneys and functional unit personnel. The Appellate Division Clerk's Office is located in Trenton, N.J.
