I had similar over billing situation with Tracy Surgery Center. In 2012, I went there for out patient prostate biopsy & they attempted to bill my insurance $30,000 for this procedure. I went in twice to complain about what I thought was an over charge. Both times I was told that I would not be charged more than what my insurance would pay & that they would "absorb" the extra cost. In early 2015, I received a letter from my insurance saying that my appeal on this claim was denied. I never filed such an appeal. Tracy Surgery Center filed this appeal without my permission or knowledge. Now, two years later I just go a bill for $518! I believe they are operating a scam to overcharge insurance.companies & patients. I refuse to go back there for any medical procedures.

This center excessively over charges the patient and insurance companies. My son had a very simple surgery for a broken nose. He wasn't even in their facility for 3 hours total and they billed my insurance $70,000. What a crock of manure! This center even confirmed in advance that their center charges less than the local hospital's surgery center, ha me thinks they lied out their wahoo and I know this for a fact.

I recommend you do NOT use this center. Now a year later they want me to give them permission to sue my insurance for the full $70,000, I think that they should be happy that they got 8 grand!
