I have used Summit HVAC to service my system for 4 years choosing them at random really. BEST Contractor decision I ever made. Their honesty is astonishing. They never oversell or to up-sell.
This Spring I decided I needed to replace my 18-year old super inefficient system. I contacted numerous HVAC contractors - Summit did not come in the lowest price but they did come in with the Best Value.
Dwayne Burns, the owner, came out explained everything and within 2 days I had a complete and COMPREHENSIVE quote (some contractors literally offered a quote that said "replace HVAC system").
It was fairly easy to determine he had given me the best VALUE for the money. I even asked him about the top grade of Bryant System instead of the middle/upper grade quoted. He said while he would be happy to sell it to me for another $4K, he felt it would not do anything to improve MY HOUSE (Yours may be bigger and need it). I signed contracts, they essentially made all the arrangements for me to get a $1,300 rebate/grant from Energize Delaware (a State Energy Efficiency Program - NICE BONUS) and 2 weeks after signing the contract, I was more comfortable in my home than ever.
My bottom line: Service or Replacement, I have found them to be Top Shelf in every respect. I have never spoken to anyone there that was not pleasant. In fact they all, from installers to service tech (Chris is just amazing) to the owner, seem to be truly happy with what they do. Did I mention they are HONEST? Give them a shot, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I was very concerned when I my central air broke in the most recent heatwave because I have a special needs pet. I called several HVAC companies who told me they wouldn't be able to accomodate me for 2-3 days. When I called Summit and expressed my concerns for my pet, they were very accomodating and concerned and got a service technician to my house within 3 hours of my call. The technician who arrived at my house was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me thoroughly. He fixed the problem in under 15 minutes and the cost was very reasonable. I will be calling Summit for all my HVAC needs from now on.

Really wonderful experience when no one else was available to assist. Summit stands apart from the bigger companies by providing superior customer service. I spent far less then I would have with a bigger company and was treated like a human. Gotta love it!

This company is fantastic! My daughter was sick and our house was 81 degrees. I called Summit and they were here a hour later! If you need it done quick these are the people to call. No kidding.

I called them on a Sunday a little after 8am and someone picked up the phone and scheduled a tech to come out. The tech was here by 9:30am. Everything was fixed by 10:30am. UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE! This company is great!

Arrived when they said would, diagnosed problem, did not gouge with pricing, fixed problem quickly, all in all a pleasant experience, highly recommend

Had one of their techs come out and clean the boiler. After he left i went to use my heater only to find it did not work, some how the tech missed that. I had my home warranty company come look at it and they found the problem within 10 min and commented on how dirty it was. Thats all i have to say about this company.

The title reveals a little about the good qualities I've found in this contractor. In this world where you don't know who you are dealing with and whether you can even trust them with your deposit, it was such a comfort to find a business that is not only trust worthy but is also everything they claim to be. This installer has 25 years plus HVAC experience and has his Master HVAC license with no complaints with the Better Business Bureau or the Bureau of Professional Regulations (I checked). He is very knowledgeable and helped educate me on my heating and air conditioning needs to a point where I actually felt comfortable with a large purchase of something I really didn't know much about. They lived up to every promise, installing the product in a very professional and timely manner. I was amazed at how well the installation was thought through and done. No corners were cut and they didn't use cheaper parts when they would have worked. Quality of workmanship and parts was top notch. But what was even more amazing was that my new heating and a/c system came in about a grand below what comparable firms wanted to charge. Please know that I am not a family member or friend.
