I bought my wedding dress from House of Brides & Tuxedos in November , Maggie (the shop owner) has been SO wonderful from day one! As a curvy bride my experience at other more boutique dress shops was very negative. She is master seememstress with a wonderful personality and is really willing to work with you! 10 out of 10!

We walked into this wonderful shop with no appointment looking for a specific dress. Don't underestimate this quant little shop, Maggie was so warm and immediately found the bridesmaid dress we needed to try on, did our measurements, complimented us, and told us her deals. She made it so incredibly easy while making us laugh and smile. She said she'd immediately send in our order and we made an appointment to come in and try those ones on for any alterations thank you Maggie!!! You saved us!!!

This is the place to go to if you are looking for a wedding dress. I went to a bunch of places in Glendale and it was all the same service. Maggie at House of Brides makes the world of difference. I told her I wanted a certain princess type dress and she let me try one on but she ask if she could make a suggestion for a dress she thought would look great on my body and it did!! She gave me alot of information on how to make an informative decision on my dress. I am so blessed to have came here and worked with such an amazing person. Thank you Maggie for making my day special.

If you want detailed, quality, personal service at affordable prices, this is the salon for you. I was assisted in finding the perfect dress within my budget that made me look like a million bucks thanks to the owner who did not stop making alterations for me until it was perfect! Everything is explaine up front and every charge is outline in detail. I couldn’t be happier with the service here. I highly recommend this salon to any future bride!

Maggie was nice and the selection of dresses were absolutely gorgeous and she had a wide variety. She had good tips for my dress and her alterations were always on point. I loved my dress and my experience with her, Would definitely recommend checking out the store if you are in the area. Just a tip she's closed between 2pm and 3pm, which is understandable since it is just her running the store.

From the moment we walked through the door, Maggie made my daughter (the bride) and I feel instilled with confidence in her ability to locate and tailor the wedding gown of her dreams. Maggie delivers and does so with a kindness and calmness that every bride needs. I can’t say enough good things about this woman and her competency and competitive pricing as well as her warm heart. We miss visiting her for the fittings!

I had a great experience with Maggie and her staff! I got my wedding dress and my bridesmaids dresses here. Her prices are very reasonable (for wedding attire). Everyone was very friendly and helpful. She did all of the alterations in house and they turned out perfect! I am very happy with the service and will keep her in mind in the future.

What a GREAT experience with House of Brides in Torrance, CA! Maggie, the owner is a sweetheart to deal with. She was extremely helpful and accommodating with the changes I wanted to make on my dress. She made the dress exactly how I was envisioning it. This is the first online review I have ever made but this company is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I felt compelled to help others avoid all the problems I had to deal with. First I was the best man in my brothers wedding and had no choice but to use this company. The tux I rented was $140 w/o shoes and was the cheapest tux I have ever tried on. Not being able to get down there I went to Men's Warehouse to get my measurements and sent it to her. Once the tux came in 2 days before the wedding she told me if I didn't get down there I was not able to make alterations. I was forced to leave work early on Wed and drove 2 hours to finally arrive at her shop in Torrance. I was pressed for time and I was supposed to be in a rehearsal / dinner that evening in Anaheim. Unfortunately she was out to lunch and was late to come back by 40 mins. When she finally showed up I tried on the tux and all the measurements were wrong and off by 1" +. She then proceeded to make the alterations on the pants and jacket while I waited and they still didn't turn out right. I had no choice but to accept and leave so I could try to show up on time to the rehearsal. After a 1 1/2 hour drive in the worst traffic possible I missed the rehearsal and had to just show up to the dinner. From this point on the wedding went well and upon return of the tux, 3 weeks later I get a surprise charge of $100 in my account. Whats this? A late fee because I wasn't able to return it the next day. She called me and harassed me about the money because I blocked my acct. Maggie is so rude she also charge my other brother that came all the way down from Texas. He is in the Army and just got deployed to Jordon and was not able to fight this charge. Low and behold she somehow still was able to charge my card and threatened me several times with suing me if she did not get the money. I hope she is happy with the extra money and the horrible review she is going to get from me. If there was a way to give her negative stars I would. Hope all will read this and avoid the headaches the whole weeding party had to deal with!!!

I bought my dream wedding dress in 2008 from House of Brides & tuxedo.



Maggie is the best really nice, sweet and honest she was so helpful in helping me pick out my bridesmaid dresses and making sure they arrived in plenty of time.



Recently I needed a dress for my sister sweet 16 which is in a couple weeks from now because of the great customer service experience I had at house of brides I decided to give Maggie a call to see if she has a dress a can buy at her shop.



I was helped by Maggie again & she was awesome. She really understood my style & what I was looking for. The first dress she pick and I tried on was the dress that I bought.



I will highly recommend House of Brides & Tuxedo if your looking for a wedding dress or evening dress that's the place to go, there prices are reasonable and excellent customer service.
