Dr. Ng was born and raised in Torrance. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from UC Irvine and his Doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry, in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Ng has spent most of his career involved in advanced vision corrective procedures, both surgical and non-surgical. He is also skilled at contact lens fittings for diseased or irregular shaped eyes, such as Keratoconus. Being a leader and lecturer in his profession for “surgical” vision corrective procedures, he felt a particular passion for an alternative “non-surgical” option for vision correction known as Orthokeratology (Ortho K), or Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) for those not ready for surgery, not a good candidate for surgery, or those simply wanting to slow down or halt the progression of nearsightedness(myopia). Dr. Ng also treats and manages various medical eye conditions including but not limited to Glaucoma, and Conjunctivitis. He also specializes in emergency eye care such as corneal abrasions, foreign body removal, and red eyes. He is credentialed on numerous vision and medical insurance panels, including VSP, EyeMed, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Aetna, and THIPA (Torrance Hospital IPA.)
